Jo,Yesterday PV sold 13 million ads Yesterday members clicked 3.3 million ads That is another almost 9 million clicks outstanding (currently now at 307 million clicks owed, when at the time of the Bap Swap it was only 140 million clicks owed). Adding money to the cost of the Bulk Ads will not change this fact, and force feeding thousands of (let me quote the message in the timer ad section) "waste of time ads" will not solve it either. The only thing will change this is to decrease the number of ads per Package, and decrease the timer on any new purchases. Like in the 2 previous posts I have replied giving suggestions, once in this thread and once in the January 16th thread.

also sending out more ads with lower values in the ad issues will get more ads clicked.I will probably get a lot of people b'****ing at me but why are those people that get 500$ ads or 100$ ads not forced to work harder for those incredible amounts. I think a lot of ads can be split and 100+ ads should be to be clicked in the ad issue, if you dont want so many ads then use an adfilter. if somene gets 10x50c ads it could also be split in 20x 25c. And yes i agree to most people that oit would be nice to keep 1 bg one , its good for screenshots and advertising. Most people just want to earn money and the less they have to do for it the happiest they are, but to make money i think you can expect users to work harder. If they have problems to click them on time concider putting a longer timer on the ad issue ads. Also i think in the surfing window you can sell a banner space seperately. Its 1 of the best spots of the website to have a banner running so the price could be like 10$ for 24 hours unlimited impressions or something like that. I think it could bring in a lot of money without giving out baps

Jo, when will you fix the BUG in ad delivery?? Can we effort giving away this big amount of FREE adclicks??? @supersambit"jo....i receive 2000 x $0.0005 recycle ads...so what to do" I'm not Jo but i can help you with some tips: - Buy an Add Filter before use Recycler Pro Upgrade - or try to view all Ads - or view how many you can and recycle the rest I think you read the warning message before spend $0.05 "Warning! You may receive up to 2000 low value ads."

So the problem is “Too many ads to click”?Solution could be Daily Guaranteed Ads + New members. Most new members don’t know how the “Micro Ad Pack” works. So they don’t buy/request “Micro Ad Pack”. New members will be happy to click Daily Guaranteed Ad (24 hour time limit) regularly. Just send 50 ads worth $0.10 daily. Ad must be delivered automatically at 00:00:01 server time every day. Just a idea. Please ignore if you think this won’t work.

@ peanutdude, thanks for keeping an eye on the numbers... I definitely agree with you that the number of clicks owed will keep on compounding if something isn't done otherwise. We might use the argument that we have delivery time on our side but the rate at which the number of owed clicks keeps growing calls for concern. We don't consume clicks as much as we produce them. Those are radical changes you are suggesting... as long as it increases the health of the business, I support it. Even if it comes down to further reduction of the ROI so as to keep the system more sustainable... we shouldn't erase that as an option.The suggestion of building a system / product whereby we can target outside of the MTV/PV user based seems like a great way to catch up with deliveries, moreover, instant delivery of ads. If I understood it well, I think we are talking about something in the likes of Adscale, Adsense and the likes. The online marketing space is still a great one to explore and very profitable. That will mean working with lot of publishers, agencies, ad exchangers just to name a few players. If that is the case, may you brief us on what's in the roadmap. I am glad to hear that MTV has grown this big and it in the process of getting a physical office soon. Like I mentioned in one of our exchanges... I am more than willing to take a break from my day job and travel to meet the programmers so that we can work together on such projects. As it ventures into my expertise. I don't mind doing it on my own funding as long as it moves the business forward. Honestly, it is difficult for me to contribute remotely as I have only a limited view of the underlying architecture. And for those of us who worry that the business hasn't released any major product in the past 6 months as I have seen such comments thrown around more often than not. Some of us have day jobs, we certainly know how challenging it is to bring a product to life, moreover, make it consumable or noticeable. Especially in the software industry. We can deny or shy away from this fact because we express our thoughts here under an "anonymous" identity. Before you worry about what has MTV done in the past 6 months or whatever time frame you wanna use for judgement, you might wanna worry about what have you done for MTV... beside, investing or clicking on ads. I have come across investors here who do not bother to read the daily news.... all they care is to see their money grow. Isn't it a shame? We are a crowd and it should be a crowd effort... and Jo certainly deserves pats on the back for putting this together.

170.1 should actually be 170.2 As its the dev funding x 2.3 ---- I dont want to add mandatory ads. This is a freemarket setup; you get ads that consume BAP. Click them or recycle them, or buy the ad filter to block them from arriving in the first place. Up to you! With the $1.05 ad packs, we should start to get back on top of things with regards to the number of ads viewed each day. As 3/5 of the due clicks will be issued instantly... Then with regular ad issues on top of that, combined with growth. And we'll be alright! * I think they key issue is how ads are issued... as right now, we're just not issuing enough. But that's limited by the fact that I can only bombard users with ads all in one go. If we could drip feed them throughout the day, we'd be able to issue a lot more. ** And I may start using some of the daily ad issue money to issue more random ads of low values (but not minimum value ads)... eg $0.002 - $0.005 eg. $10k could issue 5m ads at $0.002 $20k could issue the above + 2m ads at $0.005 So... taking 20k from a 150-200k ad issue; and we deliver 7m ads right there. Then the remainder we do the regular daily ad issues. Thereby if you block the low value ads, you'll skip up to 10-20% of your potential daily return. But a lot less work.

why dont you just get rid of the guaranteed time frame all together you can still stand by that for current campaigns but future campaign wont compound the problem Just a thought we woul d then just have to work off the current campaings

30k less a day of ad issue would be a error jo. Thats a huge decrease for the add issue , 20% or so. Rising up BA to 1.05 is enough tax right now in my opinion ( and take a look of this price, or people will start buying baps via shares).You should develop a bunch of shares so everyone could click them if wanted. Or just decrease the number of ads per BA

Jo, That sounds good on paper, but reality is not the same. Like last week when you sent out the 100 .01 and 100 .005 ads. When the recycler started working, I clicked over 650 .01 ads the 1st day, and over 600 .01 and .005 ads the second day (this was my choice as I lowered my adfilter, but the point is no one clicked them, they only recycled them). So by sending out just the .001 and .005 ads, only means more recycled ads, yes, it lowers the debt, but it still doesn't deliver the clicks, as more and more of the smaller members will never buy the recycler more than 1 time. The problem has never been sending ads, it is always been clicking them. The main issue stopping people from clicking them is the 30 second timer, which none of the people purchasing the bulk packages cares how long their ad is seen or even if their ad is ever seen, they only care about the BAP for purchasing them. That is why lower the amount of ads to 25 ads and lower the timer to 10 to 15 seconds per $1.05, would work better. This site is at the point were .04 per ad and a 10 to 15 second timer is doable, and still competitive with other sites. This would also allow you to drop the .0005 and only issue .001 ads, which will make the recycler more attractive to buy, as the max you can receive is 1000 ads, and at 10 to 15 seconds per ad, more doable from a clickers perspective. |
