Well, Marc, you were right about EQT, now I'm sorry I didn't buy more coins. Really nice rise, although I don't know if this is related to its good development progress or it's just about speculative trading.

I made some other people 50-130x returns on XVG (verge) as well.EQT will have the launch of its beta in Q1, while the marketcap is just $5m now. Ridiculously undervalued and it has a telegram community of nearly 2000 people. Once I get new info I will write another qualitative article like I did before (Link to the article) and it will boost the exposure/growth like it did before, I am sure. I believe Komodo will be a $15b+ marketcap coin in 2018 and I have a ton of other long term bags. During the next few weeks I am going to dig through a ton of white papers again with the goal of finding some new low marketcap gems. Low marketcap gems always survive both bear and bull markets and I think a lot of the "top tier coins" we have as of now are ridiculously overvalued. So I will continue looking for 1-3 year hold coins which can return 100x or over returns. For articles, my picks/scalps, gems and more you can follow my twitter page (please respect this page as being cryptocurrency-related, don't use it for mtv-related queries). My page is growing rapidly, I have been taking cryptotwitter serious for about 3 months now.

Where to buy and store these coins? Personal wallets are safe but there seems to be a lot of complaints/problems with the big exchanges eg yobit, poloniex and bitfinex.

Komodo you can store on a ledger nano S.EQT has a private wallet which you can install (and then stake for 30% yearly interest) Some coins have private wallets, others can be cold stored on ledgers/trezors.

KMD had a nice pump in the last 2-3 weeks, do you think it will retrace under 50k in the near future Marc?

No idea why people are buying XRP right now...1. The coin is centralised 2. The coin is deflationary (total of 100bil, but only 40bil in circulation --> 60bil locked up by Ripple) 3. Ripple protocol has nothing to do with XRP (pure speculation) 4. You can't mine it

To answer you:1. That's a reason to buy for me. I don't believe in the decentralization as many here do. I think banks will survive and then this coin is better than the others. 2. Deflationary is great?! Bitcoin is too btw, every coin with a fixed supply is. Inflationary is bad because your money devaluates, so I don't see why this would be bad. 3. If I'm not mistaken, XRP is used in the transactions. Banks are using it already? 4. Great imo, avoids centralization with miners like bitcoin who prohibit every change in tech that's necessary.

To answer again 1. Ripple controls XRP just like the governments control FIAT. They can decide at any time to release more XRP in the market (since they possess 60% of it !), creating a huge drop in price... You can compare it to governements deciding to print more money. The big revolution in crypto is the decentralization aspect IMO. 2. XRP is deflationary = With each transaction, some XRP is destroyed BTC is inflationary = With each transaction, some BTC is created (till a total of 21mil) A deflationary currency is always bad in long term... 3. Banks do NOT use XRP, they use Ripple PROTOCOL (which allows faster/cheaper transactions of currencies) They do NOT need XRP to do that. 4. True, BTC is getting centralized due to big mining pools... That's indeed a big problem... However I don't get it, in 1. you were saying that centralization is a good thing, and now you say it's bad ? That being said, I totally respect your point of view. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree

I want to answer again, as you have good arguments 1. That's true. That's a risk you take when investing in currencies that are like our current world is. But I just don't think decentralization is that good. Often governments do good things for their people. Who would build roads etc? So I think we can't escape that. Ripple also has their XRP stored now in a vault and they can only release 1b XRP a month for the coming 5(?) years. Really flooding the market is not possible in this case. 2. BTC is created by miners, so not necessarily transactions. They can mine without transactions happening, right? That being said, BTC will get lost by people losing keys etc. So in fact, BTC certainly is deflationary. But why is that bad? That's a good thing of some cryptos imo, no inflation which destroys purchasing power. 3. I heard that before, I guess you're right. Will have to look into it to know what XRP is used for in that case, because I guess it has some use... 4. I believe some governments (certainly not all) do the best things for their citizens (or at least try to do so). Miners are only here for their own gains... in that case centralization is very bad! They keep the tech of BTC in control (segwit, more transactions in a block, lightning network etc.). It'd be better to have the whole community decide... thing is: you can vote for your (centralized) government and hope they'll to the best for you and other citizens. You can't elect miners... they are just there and you have no voice in chosing the best ones for tech improvements for example. So that's different imo. I actually think decentralization is very good in theory, but in practice there are lots of problems. Let's say everyone would start again with zero assets/liabilities like the first people on Earth. Wouldn't centralization occur spontaneously? Some people are better leaders than others by nature and they will earn money and respect of others. And slowly but surely it will evolve into the current world again. Look at MTV for example. Suppose there would be no management. How long would we survive? Okay, we have a voice like citizens in a country, but in the end it's the management that decides the things of which they think they'll improve MTV (compared to the country) the most. Maybe I miss something (I hope so ) but I think there's a reason everything is the way it is now!

happy New Year! I am a complete unfamiliar and beginner in this of the cryptocurrencies. I have made some very small investments with cryptopia. I see they talk about keeping in wallets and I do not know how that goes. What I wanted to do is leave the investment in cryptopia, when the thing went well, change it to litecoin, pass it to coinbase and then to the bank ... Am I wrong with this process?

ffsport, that should work without a problem. Keeping in wallets is recommended if you possess bigger amounts or even smaller if you plan to hold them long term. For some initial small investment it's just fine to do what you said you plan to. |
