I don't believe the ddos thing. We can login, do everything on the site except putting orders... maybe some of their admins do it on purpose? Idk, I hope they fix it soon... this is impossible to deal with.

wow just because your company does not deal with the US i can not read about it. That is kind of a red flag there this is about Onecoin.  Both stories would not let me read them.

Poloniex is having all kind of problems of late. Either they got bigger then thought they were going to and dont have the servers to keep up, someone on admin team is scammer people or the having DDOS attacks like they saying. I think one or two is more believable.

I was wondering how profitable an exchanger as Poloniex could be, but I got a bit surprised here. Considering 0.2% as "usual" fee (0.15 - 0.25%), counted 2x and their volume of $16,6 MIL today, they get at least 65k dollars in fees, not to mention 120k btc volume = $215 MIL x 0.004 = $860000 in fees in a single weekend day + ETH/XMR fees. Did I make some mistake here? Even with all the costs to keep it running (servers, programmers, moderators, payout fees, etc) that's a giant number gulp

I think they just got bigger than they expected too fast. I don't think an admin would just "scam" this easy, unless he would get all the money alone @moose.

Idk if the bitcoin is sold from time to time, but if they hold it they profit will get bigger and bigger with this trend.

There are days they pocket $4m in fees and yet they run their business in an incredibly filthy way.

If we would run it ourselves that market would be shut down during ddos or we would revert the trades that were made during the attacks.
None of that is happening there and no refunds either.

Get out and use bittrex, kraken and other medium sized exchanges.

"If we would run it ourselves"

Could it be our next (and biggest) project Marc (to make something like that, but better)?

hi guys, i have an important question, hope someone could help to clarify, i am in crypto trading since few weeks and today is the second time i experienced a serious issue with stop loss orders during deep drop price, in this case happened with etherium/euro trade on kraken, i woke up and found out the price went lower then my stop loss level(market) but the order didn't trigger, then i tried to sell manually and it worked, but when the price started to rise again, i tried many time to buy but eventually it opened a position of only few euro instead of the whole 1000 euro position, so what the hell happen during this big price movement, is it something normal that is all locked up? is it caused by the big money movement? or is a filthy speculation by kraken site?
so is there something you could do to make stop loss work in any case like theese big price drops?

Anyone holding very cheap coins with good potential returns? I mean, those in the very start, with low vol, prices under $0.5.

@pietro80
It is not the Kraken's fault.
It is like in any other financial market trading (FOREX, Stock Exchange, etc.), namely the Stop Loss order is not guaranteed during HIGH Volatility in price periods.
You should read the Kraken TOS and see if they specify this thing there.

I remember the same applied to ETH until 1 month after the DAO hack, i remember selling my eth at $15. Could have got 12x profit. From now on, when I see a "fail coin" going down a lot and see it can still have real use I will buy everything whistling.

Anyone here into POSW? It's on ~$0.09 and you can use their site for staking a lot of coins/ get 1% interest each month. You can also get "dividends" each month or so and I read they will be redesigning their site soon, did anyone ever read about it?

I think that with alts, everybody is looking at the news trying to find a rumour that maybe push the coin.
Just like in the stock market.
So pump and dump gets it's place in the market easily.

I prefer to "read" the charts, and use technical analysis.
Most of the times it won't lie.

I began with 0.035 btc on poloniex (just to try) about a month ago, and i have 0.043 btc now.
No margin for the time being, no pumped coins also.
It is not much, but it is something that shows me it is working.

@carvalho17

I'm in POSW, overall their concept is good, but there's room for improvement. If they do everything that crowd want, it will reach to the moon easily. (Upcoming roadmap, ETH integration, Masternode pools)

Second coin is Creditbit, price keep dropping but overall the development is pretty good, which i think this is one of the undervalued coin? If hold for long term it will definitely have a brighter future as this coin backed by one the of the bitcoin legend and it have potential to listed in bigger exchange in future.

Another coin is Stellar Lumens, which is very similar to ripple, which mean they have the same potential. Perhaps this is the next ripple? who knows
