I wouldn't be surprised with such a traffic. After it reached $10k, I have never seen so many people asking about bitcoin, news about bitcoin, posts about bitcoin.

crypto is being pumped by very big money. this is how i look at any money you put in-if you put in 100.00 it goes to 1,000 then drops to 500.00 and you sell, the hype is "ohh you lost 500.00" no-because your original investment of 100.00 is now many times higher-so it depend if you buy into the panic and screams of blood baths, and all that-remember those who bought bit coin at 230.00 complain they lost a hundred here or there, lol even when up 6,000 so its a mindset---so long as you dont lose your actual investment then you havent really lost anything --remember a dollars worth is a dollars worth-- so when you hear that there was a 30 percent drop in the market it dont mean much when the average return is hundreds percent higher after that drop than original investment so its a on paper perceived loss, but scare people and eventually everyone will cry for government intervention due to greed then , you truly lose-in mean time just ride the ups and downs and try to sell higher than your investment  --some people with big money dont look at it the way most average people do again-invest 100.00 goes to 1,000 then a 30%drop brings it to 700.00-did you lose your money?  noooo because you started with 100.00 and are now at 700.00 --remember that-----and most your investor got in under a grand so they are big time into profit if they cash it out to fiat money which is ,well only worth what you belive it is, ---best look into blockchain tech and what it really is along with AI- and how the banks have patents on this from back in 2008-2009 interesting-good night all ,

Uhm...not sure what you are saying.

But I think ppl do lose $, through no fault of their own...as they didn't buy at $100, but at $10K, and when it drops to $9K, they've lost 11%. Just like ppl buy RP's and then it drops, and stays dropped...at least BTC seems  to be on an overall upward trend, thus if you don't need it at the wrong time, you won't need to sell at a loss.

Let's just say that I like MTV so much, that when (positive thinking) I get hired by them, but was willing to be paid in BTC. I want 0.5 BTC as a monthly salary (yes probably too much, but easier math)...which I'm thinking is on avg $5K (I know it varies, but stay with me here). Marc then either has 0.5BTC bought say at 1BTC = $9K or hopefully not $1.1K. I take my salary in BTC, so he can buy low and just know he gives me BTC. Now, I have 0.5BTC, and rent ($1K, for simplicity) is due. Unless my landlord accepts 0.1BTC a payment, I have to turn that into USD. Unless I have time to sell at rate/high, if BTC is worth less $1K, 0.1BTC will be less as well, and thus my rent will take more of my salary than expected. And, thus less for food etc. Even if my landlord accepts BTC, they also have to find someone to accept BTC as payment or fnd the right time to sell at value/high.

Until BTC gains a real world spending, as relatively common, as X satoshi get you this product (rent/utilities/gas/milk/movie ticket/smartphone etc), the volatility will keep many away, swindling many out of their cash, and mostly only for investors.

BTW, if it was so easy to profit off of BTC, wouldn't Apple be accepting BTC by now? They could have it the current price equivalent, and thus just let BTC get more acceptance, and those that bought at $100 could buy a Brand New IPhone, for $0.10 on the dollar...which would widen their user base. I know they could, and I bet are, having a % of their revenue be in crypto. And, I know the potential new Iphone user could just sell their BTC for USD. But, the less steps involved the better.

10,000 Satoshi = ~$1

Thus, say 3/$1 could be 3/10K Satishi as well, for a real world use of BTC.
Also, when I say $0.1 per oz, that could also be 1K Satoshi per oz.

Today I made this statement in the EQT community, it answers your question, Remedcu.

I have been talking with Alvin in private, a lot.. Really a lot.. 2 days ago we spoke for about 8 hours straight I am guessing.

He gave me all the ins and outs, all of the "secrets", all of the reasons why he does what he does and how he does it.
I have made a promise to not spill a single word about what has been said, not to anyone.
I am not talking to anyone, not even my own team members who have invested and joined this project and chat.

I will write about everything that has been going on in the back of EquiTrader in the future, but now is not the time.
There is more to it why Alvin hasn´t been communicating with the crowd.. And although I don´t fully agree with his approach (which I made clear to him as well and is possibly one of the reasons why he is around a lot more now) he does have valid reasons.
He also has valid reasons for not spending any funds on marketing as of now.

I have given him a lot of advice based on my point of view and based on my past of being a startup advisor.
As of now I will simply be an administrator within this chat, unpaid, serving the community (So not serving the project, but the community.. I am and will remain neutral in my opinions).
I have spoken to Alvin and told him I am interested in becoming the community and marketing manager of the project, in the future, when there is more clarity.

I am not telling you that we are sitting on a dump or a gold mine, but the fact that I am willing to contribute to the project after hearing every single bit of the story does mean something.
Alvin isn´t perfect, noone is. Mistakes have been made and he feels sorry for it.

Ohforf is still around and working on the project, as are a number of other programmers.
Alvin is currently looking into hiring a few more.

Appreciate your honesty mate @Marc

So you are trying for marketing manager position there, I hope you be successful in that.

If you become their marketing manager, I hope you delegate your work accordingly for MTV, so that people don't complain for the same.

I am not in EQT, so don't know who Alvin or Ohforf is. Hope they find you as a good candidate for the manager.

As of now I am not interested in openly tieing my name to the project.
He has to present me with a clear path forward, my image has taken enough hits during this year.
For now I am simply an advisor of the project, helping them find a path forward, deal with their concerns regarding legalities/security laws etc.
I've always served the eqt community and will continue to do so.
Over 700 people joined their telegram chat and bought into the coin because of me and that is just the amount of people that I actually know about, most likely there are many more.
Due to the recent bearmarket the coin has taken a massive hit, on top of that the management has the worst possible communication skills ever, I am also helping them in this regard.
Once I made that statement, the coin pumped 50%.
Upon release of my article, a similar effect occurred.
It seems that I have a very strong impact on the price and I am a well respected member within the community.
If I can help the project become a success, I will do so, but for now I would like to remain an unofficial member of the team.

Well.. South Korea banned futures today and Nicehash got hacked for $62m.

But seriously.. I just can´t wrap my head around the fact that bitcoin has been increasing this rapidly since $1000 while it´s the worst cryptocurrency to send wealth with at the moment.
It´s extremely slow, expensive and in no way will this be sustainable.

The only comforting thought that I can give myself is that this has to be money of people who are utterly clueless, who will then want to buy altcoins once bitcoin stops pumping.. And hopefully.. I can get back some of my wealth.
Sounds like I am wishing bankruptcy on regular people, but in my opinion they have no place trading currencies anyway.

I am pro btc and I would like to see mass adoption, but not paired with this ridiculous and unsustainable growth in price.. The chain simply can´t handle all of this traffic, the exchanges can´t.. The services who deliver credit cards.. None of it is ready for such a massive increase.

99% of people are utterly clueless, so it's a big pot of money in the first place.  The smart money always sells into the hype.  Pick an exit point where you're happy with your gains and don't get too greedy.  Noone buys at the bottom and sells at the top.  Anyone who tells you they did is either the statistical anomaly or should be added to your 'never trust that guy again' list.
