My fear is new visitors/referrals first impressions will be poor, and maybe a deal breaker. Possibly displaying a very noticeable banner indicating that there is a temporary issue regarding speed of the site, and it is being addressed. I know that most of the daily users are aware of the issues due to tremendous and rapid growth has caused this, but the newbies aren't aware and probably not reading the news. I would just hate to see us lose new members because of this.  I know today has been very frustrating for me, and I've been on board for a couple years. First timers probably would just say forget it. We'll try to upgrade the version of MySQL asap... and go through all the queries to speed things up. I've sent a message to Incapsula, our DDOS protection, and they don't seem to be the problem. They're caching 80% of our traffic; and the delay on their end only spikes up to 450ms - so they're not to blame. Down to programmers / programming time is the key to sorting this out. It is very long to click my bonus ads on PaidVerts because I get the message almost every time: Error Code 20. The proxy failed to connect to the web server due to TCP connection timeout. It is the same with MyTraffricValue. Two other problems with PV: 1- the right window showing our navigation moves when we scroll down and 2- the captcha takes very long time to appears in the window, sometimes it doesn't and I have to refresh.
