Scans of documents are one thing; but why not get the person to scan the document in; then take a photo of themself holding that same document. That way, someone can't steal your docs. And if its photo id, you can match the photo to the person; like you would if you were doing it in a store. They ask a picture of the member olding is ID card and check matching a 2 sides scan of the ID card, postmail name/address and bank account datas ! I agree it would not be a good verification system. It is easy to create multiple Facebook profiles. Anyways there is no reason to worry about Facebook privacy concerns. You and only you chose what to post and pictures to add etc. You can even make every aspect only visible to yourself. Anyone can control privacy on Facebook if they actually try to. There are so many people on Facebook I think MTV/PV could really take advantage of that. It will deter others from joining and may even make those active and paying members to not proceed further. I would suggest that we stick with the standard verification that most sites use which is through the payment processor IDs. If that payment processor ID is already in use in the system, then don't allow the new registrant to register. Its not a very good idea because for example in my case I live in all bills paid place and the rest of my bills are paid automatically from my bank account. I do not get any paper in a mail, just email. I like the idea of id verification and then picture of me with ID. I also like phone verification and secret question verification.
