Today has been a completely broken routine for me... hence the late update! I will get to support tickets tomorrow; I don't have time today. Too hot and too tired.

I've done a small PV ad issue earlier; but we're still having problems with the crons, and I think there are still 10k ads pending release. The programmers will get that sorted at some point this evening.

Regarding the slow site and what not... We're working on this; we're likely going to have to switch our ad issue & view process out of MySQL and into Redis or something like that.

Thanks Jo, the most important thing is that we got a news release today. With such a good weather, maybe, too good... concentration becomes an issue.

Oooh MySQL and its scalability issues... we are growing and it seems like MySQL can't scale anymore. The suggest of trying a NoSQL solution like Cassandra or Redis sounds right... we used to have lots of scalability issues at my company with MySQL until we switched to proprietor coloumn-based solution - Vertica. Our queries are pretty fast nowadays and hardly do we experience system slow-down or some out-of-memory bug. If there is sufficient bucks, you might want to consider a proprietor solution for MTV rather than opensource because you are sure of a support team. Anyway, figure out what's best of the business at this point in time.

Keep up with the great work... but remember, to take a break if you need one... sometimes, we get amazing ideas while we chill in the sun
