You usually need to wait 10 - 20 minutes for at least 3 confirmations from the network. If for some reason they cannot confirm, the bitcoins will be returned to your account. Worst case scenario is that that the money will be returned to your account and you will need to re-send. Hopefully it confirms soon for you.
