Do you really think that by adjusting the games by 1% in favour of the house would drive people away?  Some...possibly.  Many...I have my doubts.

People play casino games because they like the thrill of get rich quick.  Most realise that it's likely that they won't win (but look how many people still play the lottery!)

I'm not suggesting trying to rip-off or deceive anyone.  What I'm suggesting is that a 1% shift in the odds in favour of the house.  As of right now, Paidverts is still not sustainable.  Debt increases on more days that it decreases.  That is not a sustainable business model (unless you're going to prop it up from other areas of the business).

It's not uncommon for a slot machine to have a 15% house edge...I'll not even go in to the odds in the lottery.

I find both the matrix and trading funding far more ethically dubious than a house edge adjustment.

Let me be clear, I'm not questioning Marc's honesty (I think he's done more than enough to prove that) I just think that these projects are not exactly what you want to build a business on. Granted (looking at the funding they've received) I'm obviously in the minority. I'm fine with that...but still feel it's important that different opinions are voiced.

Incidently @Marc (if you're reading this), can I politely suggest that where someone (anyone...not just me) has a constructive suggestion that you disagree with, that you give a reason for why you disagree.  I think this will give all other readers (who view but don't comment) a better idea of your vision, and further build the trust that you have worked hard to establish.

i think we should not focus  in the house edge but in increasing the volume of players via advertising or any way possible, having lower house edge than the competitors it is always a smart move combined with an amount of years paying gamblers no matter what

A question...

In order to avoid BAP tax I should buy an adpack in the same day of the week (after two weeks) or I can buy in the following day (making it 15 days)?

Example:

Buy on monday at 9am and after two weeks i buy again on monday at 9am

or

Buy on monday at 9am and after two weeks i can buy on tuesday at 9 am without being taxed..

If I was looking at it correctly, you have to buy it when it still days you are tax free for 1 day.

I think if you can buy b4 01:58, even if your counter shows "No", you can avoid the tax. I did this in the past like clockwork and I believe it worked every time. Only time it "didn't" was when I messed up on days left...thus I wound up increasing by 1 day, when I should have been able to stay at every friday just after reset and just b4 tax.

But, in that case, you will need to do it every 14 days btwn 00:01 and 01:58, anyways....so max 25hr59min if done then. However, you can also do it 0:159 or later and then next time on the 15th "day" 01:57...however, after that instance, it will revert back to that just under 2hr window.

Also, if you buy that early, you easily risk not getting way over delivered in ads. i.e. still have min a few left hits so when they deliver the Group Ads, your campaign gets swept up in it.

I had switched from just b4 01:58, b/c often I'd have just completed b4 07:00, to just b4 07:00, nowadays they have in general 2 times of day morning or lunch, so it is all luck when.

I have since just given up, noone responds to my ad...and it's different and free, and besides, with that $1, I get more BAP via the MarketPlace.


The main takeaway is that BAP tax occurs at 01:58, so when you get the "No", you have until the next 01:58 that occurs.

I see that they've been around since 2014, at least sporadically.

Really nice purchase, indeed.
Since he made a deposit using Bitcoins, which arrived today, it's practically impossible that it's not real and, as you said, it's one of the older members who already bought tons of bulk ads so I believe there is nothing to worry about.
I also noticed that account maintenance fees are dropping day after day which corresponds with your data posted here (number of active accounts). I presume that remodeling of Paidverts will stop this trend, but there is always something more important to do than this.
