I dunno if this has been brought up before, but I'd like to see if it is possible that we can have a sort of holding area where we can transfer funds to. This could be used to auto-update or auto-pay for the 1% mini and mega upgrades and auto-renew getting the recycled ads. So lets say that I have transferred $25 to this "holding area", separate from my main balance, and my mini, mega, and recycled upgrades expire at midnight on Monday morning, it would automatically renew them without my prompting as long as the funds are there to cover them. Work from the smallest amount to the largest in case people can't get the mega one. This way, I won't run out of recycled ads because the limit is reached, and I'll always be able to have the mini and mega upgrades without forgetting them. For this type of setup, I'd prefer there be no "tax" to deduct from it, since I could be put in all that is needed on Monday, but by the next Monday I'd come up short, which would suck. Consider it a space reserved specifically for re-investment in PV/MTV. A similar thing could be done for storing money away to auto-invest in the 186% (Or whatever rate for fast track investments). Additional functionality for setting specific time and date of auto-pay would be nice, but mainly auto-renewing at the moment something expires is the simple and key thing. I'd also like the ability to put money on the side, separate from my main balance so if I wanted to reinvest 70-80% of my earnings, but pocket the rest, I could take the 20-30% and set it aside to build up till I feel ready to cash it out. Think of it like a savings account, and the main balance as a checking account. A similar system to what I describe is used on a virtual stock exchange I use in Second Life, although without auto-pay functions. (http://slcapex.com) You can create any number of sub accounts and label them, and transfer between the sub-accounts as you please. However, you can only deposit/withdraw from one main account. Neobux has a similar system for main balance, rental balance, and membership extension balance. SLCAPEX also has a pretty decent, and somewhat simple means of dealing with the buying/selling of stock shares. You can set a limit for buy/sell, and you can buy in bulk by specifying how many shares you want, and it'll buy the total shares from the top of the stack down, even if the prices change in the purchase. You can also see the graphs depicting price history and volume movement. This might be extremely useful and helpful for MTV and shareholders, and might be pretty simple to emulate or copy. I know the exchange owner, and might be able to help work out an exchange of their programming so that it can take some load off MTV programmers except for dropping it in and connecting it to MTV's system. (They wouldn't have to build it from scratch in other words.) These are just suggestions, and I'd like to hear from Jo for his thoughts on this, but also to hear CONSTRUCTIVE ideas and criticism about this from others. Honor Virtutis Praemium... Silverblade

I LIKE this idea! This is sort of like what Neobux (and a few other BUX type sites) offer/have offered--over there, you can set aside funds specifically to finance and maintain your rental referrals, and your golden memberships, and those funds can't be used for anything else or taken out. It really comes in handy for long term "budgeting" so to speak--a quick glance at those two balances lets me know where I am standing on any given day. I, for one, would like to be able to automate share purchases--like I do with my stock portfolio. It would be nice to be able to set up my "back office", so to speak, so that I could designate percentages of my earnings to different things. Something like 75% to ad purchases, 15% to shares, 10% to one of the plans if I chose to use one. In this only dreaming scenario, I could even designate ahead of time which ads would run--for instance, Traffic G lets me store unlimited referral links, and with a few clicks of the mouse, I can distribute my credits manually--or the system will split them evenly among all my sites, in real time. Easy hits allows you to set how many credits per day you want sites to receive, and also store a large number of credits for each site, so at a glance I can figure out how many sites I need to surf to keep the "cushion" I want, and when I have to replenish credits for each site. When it comes to a PTC site, I would love to see a system where I could store the particulars of, say, 5 ad campaigns (with the option to "buy" extra slots using earned cash or BAPS, up to 10 sites). Instead of being in a drop down box, they would be in a list, so I could see at a glance on one page: 1. Whether I have started getting views on an ad 2. How many views I have gotten, how many left 3.if views have been recycled, how many times (just because I am curious) 4. Whether the banners or sites have gotten clicks And if a certain percentage of my earnings were auto "banked", I would be able to go down the list, "assign" ad packs to the sites as I wish (or have the ad packs automatically divided evenly between the sites), add additional banner impressions, maybe even change between different stored banners and click ONE BUTTON to update the whole list. And, I could deposit money from my Paypal directly into that "bank"--so if I wanted to run a bunch of NEW ads for DIFFERENT sites, or really increase traffic to my 5 saved sites--it would be a piece of cake. Sites beyond the five on the list could be stored in a drop down menu as they are now. Having sites stored on a list, complete with banners, would also make it easier for people hunting down our porn dogs to verify sites are legit. For example, if there was a porn ad or banner connected to my username, monitors could look up my username and all five of my stored ads, banners and all, would be right there in one place--so the monitors could delete the porn, and fine me. There are so many things that could be done to make our "back office" more user friendly, more versatile, and really ad value for members. And for the front end-- all I really would like to see there is a "report site" button, right under the close window button or the countdown to the right of the CAPTCHA--so we could report bad sites without having to go into BAP logs, etc.

@chrystaliaHeh, I like your enthusiasm in taking what I wrote a step further! For me, the whole process is about making budgeting easier, but also to salve my degree of obsessive compulsiveness. I'd be extremely curious to hear from Jo about this concept and how likely it is that the programmers can implement such a thing with simplicity and ease. I don't imagine it would be overly complicated. I mean, I already chuck money into my MTV account from my PV account, but the balances are combined at the top of the screen anyways. (Which makes my OCD itch.) I can come up with a lot of ideas, I'm an ideas man, but I just don't have the specific know-how to make things work. For instance, I suggested to Jo on Facebook about a PV/MTV smart phone app when he showed a pic of his new phone. He liked the idea, but hell if I know how to make an app for smart phones. @Silverblade--I'm pretty sure my CDO is the equal of your OCD . PTCs are a hobby for me--though they are also valuable when it comes to my business--and they extra cash comes in handy, of course! And BTW--that combining the PV/MTV earnings really irks me as well . Since there is a lot of chaos in my offline life, I like to keep my computers--all three of them--completely and totally organized. If they aren't, I go quietly nuts. And a really hate badly organized websites (GRRR). I will say this--if I had been building these websites, all of the bugs would have been ironed out before they went live--and stuff like what you and I would love to have would already BE HERE! Heck, if PV were built "right", Jo could probably sell the scripts for a ton of money

@ChrystaliaOf course it is CDO to us, having it not be in alphabetical order is just... icky! I've been involved in PTCs and the like since 2005/2006, getting screwed over by the likes of StudioTraffic, 12DailyPro, and a plethora of others since. I've been on Neobux since 2009, Clixsense since 2010, and many, many others as they have come and gone. They are a hobby, but also income that helps me continue to be a "work from home" entrepreneur. I have 5 computers in regular use, all salvaged or ones that I "Johnny Cash-ed" by building them "one piece at a time". 2 of them are dedicated to online business, one for Neobux, one Clixsense, and the one I'm on now for PV/MTV but also for other things like Facebook, games, etc. I have one dedicated for watching TV/movies, and one dedicated to online games. I can sit in one spot and use all 5 of them, some at the same time! Like you, I keep them all quite organized. I have notebooks with hard copy stats for everything I am in, as well as Excel spreadsheets, and even a program that processes the Excel data into a visual display and makes sorting it more visual and easier to digest. I even have a special alarm clock (a scrapped cell phone) that gives me 15 and 10 minute warnings before midnight so I can be ready to write down all my stats for each day, and then it goes off at midnight to cap things off. I'm not a fan of badly designed websites either, but I also understand that with websites like Paidverts and MTV, not everything is going to run perfectly all the time, and the more and more users you get, the more complicated things get. Some websites can afford to stay static, where sites like this need to constantly evolve and adapt. I think PV/MTV is built right, at least for the most part, considering the demands placed on it and the limitations of people behind the scenes scrambling like mad to adapt to new changes and the demands of people, it has done quite well. I just hope things don't get so complicated that it all falls apart with the smallest of blows from a small issue.... like a house of cards. Honor Virtutis Praemium... Silverblade

Wow--you really are CDO LOL.I only have three 'puters at the moment--the one I am on now, for games, news, work, and "public" browsing, one with totally private, totally encyrpted browsing for deep digging research and information collecting, and the third never goes online AT ALL--for really sensitive data storage. My other half has an OLD computer, running Windows 3.1, that he still has FLOPPY DISKS for--both the small ones and the large ones--he doesn't really understand anything newer than DOS 5.0 We also have a laptop for public browsing on the road when we actually go somewhere, which isn't often--I am a shut in. I literally live online, and work online, since I have severe agoraphobia. I started my own businesses when I really couldn't leave the house anymore without falling apart--luckily, there is the internet . I keep excel files too! And pie charts, bar graphs, and records (both hard copy and digital) going back to 1991 or so--I remember when the internet wasn't even a million websites... I have 4 TBs of information stored on anything and everything you can imagine--and that is just the 2014 storage. All those files get moved onto flash drives at the end of each year--so I just started out this year's "fresh" external hard drives. I have about 100 16 GB flash drives, plus the hard drives from all my older, dead computers going back to about 1992, and those are all filled with compressed, encrypted files. The flash drives are fairly recent--back in 2001, I spent a few months moving all my old data off floppies and onto hard drives, and then I consolidated all the data onto flash drives starting in about 2010 or so. When I needed to start working at home, I started writing articles, newsletters and ebooks for people's websites, editing and proofreading college term papers, and doing in depth research for lazy students . I have written my fair share of college papers as well, but never in "critical" subjects--meaning, for instance, I won't write a history paper for someone planning to be a history teacher, but I will write an essay for someone taking welding classes, who is only taking writing because it is required. Personally, as an aside, I think it is a little on the ridiculous side to require someone going for a trade degree to have to take several semesters of writing. I DO think everyone should have to take English grammar and composition, but only for basic communication unless, of course, your career requires advanced writing skills.

@chrystaliaSo nice to "meet" another old schooler online! I also have Windows 3.1 on floppies, I also have a AOL 1.0 floppy, and DOS 3.x as well. I even have Windows 98 on floppies, dozens of them, but I don't think they are any good anymore. I might even have XP on floppies, but I don't remember if I gave them away. Worse than that, I have many 5 1/4" floppy disks and a stack of Commodore 64's and a few 128's in my basement! I am currently using an old Commodore 1702 monitor for my security camera monitor. 30+ years old and it still works! I have pre-286's, 286's, 386's and a few 486's in my basement, with dozens of CRT monitors too, but I only have them because I'm getting into scrapping old electronics for the precious metals as well as base metals, and the old computers are loaded with gold, silver, and platinum. I just need the chemicals and gear to start refining them down. I've been using computers since I was 6, and I'm 39 now. My first day "online" was back on August 5th,1988, when I saved up $20 for a 300 baud modem (I still have the box and the receipt!) so I could log on to Quantum Link (AOL before it was AOL and for Commodore computers). I spent several years, gradually getting better and faster modems, logging onto local BBS', and even running a couple of them as well. I truly got on the internet around 1993 or 93 when I was in high school, and I still have my Yahoo email account that I started in 1996 or 97! I started my own computer business in 1997, with the help from a mentor from one of the BBS' I hung out on. So I fix, upgrade, build, and troubleshoot on computers, but I'm freelance and it is out of my house, so I don't always get much business. I'm a hoarder of data, and almost all my hard drives in active use now are full. I still have several stacks of detached internal hard drives that are also nearly or completely full as well. Then there are CD's and 4Gb DVD's that I've burned, and I've completely lost count of all the data space I've got used up and stored, and that is on top of 2- 1TB external drives, a 350Gb drive, and removed laptop drives sitting in my drawer next to me. Unlike you, I don't have many flash drives, just a 2Gb and a 8Gb and a couple 512Mb ones. Some of the data I have, I haven't seen in nearly 20 years! I'm also a bit agoraphobic, but mainly I am all "partied out" after my early 20's, and I just don't like dealing with people directly. I'm a hermit of my own making. So on top of my computer business, the PTCs I'm into, trying to get started in scrapping and precious metals refining, I also am a live-in property manager for my dad's real estate. So if I go out, it is mainly for lawn maintenance or snow removal, or to work on his other properties/deal with tenants. The only way I can get through going to the store for groceries is late at night when there are barely anyone shopping, or to pretend I'm in a first person shooting game, otherwise I get on the verge of a panic attack and want to run out. So I can relate to being a shut in, I even came up with a social "law", like laws of nature, science, etc, relating to the bad things that can occur when large groups of people get together. It doesn't help that most of my closest friends live 30 miles or more away, and are too busy with families and jobs to hang with on a regular or even irregular basis. I hate phones, and besides the cell phones I have, which are actually being scrapped for the precious metals, I don't own a cell phone (besides, cell phones seem to lead people to have lousy manners and just annoy me). So computers keep me connected, keep me sane-ish, and provide a certain level of income. I get into political, philosophical, and miscellaneous debates online all the time, and have been doing so since I first started going online. So I do enjoy writing. I'm not exactly perfect in my grammar, but as long as I'm close enough to get my point across, I'm content. I've attempted to write various stories over the years, but they usually peter out after the inspiration leaves me. Needless to say, I have an opinion on nearly everything, and I'm never too shy to share it, but when it comes to dealing with people directly en masse, then it may be a different story. Old School Indeed! You and I have much in common-- and BTW, I like your Latin tagline . I bought my other half Pliny the Elder's Natural History (in English) for Christmas, as he doesn't read Latin himself. I don't expect much from him when it comes to education--he is a flipping genius, but when you go to a high school named after a GOLD MINE, in Yuma, your education isn't going to be big in the classics... Most of what he has learned over the years, he taught himself, and LAtin wasn't one of those things *sigh*. Fortunately, our housemate Gonzo was educated by Jesuits--so he and I can enjoy our Latin together. I have a TA 99/4a--and all the games programs with it, including a mighty magic 8 ball I wrote myself in BASIC . There's a commodore 64 or two around here too, that my boys used growing up--and an old Sega Master system with all the games that I play--regularly--since those old games like Cloudmaster are about the only games I can manage LOL. I'm like you when it comes to shopping--going at about 3.am., with my other half or our best friend and housemate, since I won't go ANYWHERE in Tucson anymore without armed escort. Sadly, when it comes to that, I'm not being paranoid--the apartment we lived in before we got this house in a dodgier part of town had 2 home invasions and multiple car thefts in the last few years, even though it was in a "good" neighborhood. Between the horrific real unemployment rates here and the population pressure from far more illegals than pre-obama, Tucson has gotten dangerous. I recycle the "ordinary" things--copper, aluminum--myself. We use food cans and wine/beer /liquor bottles to make luminaria and wind chimes we then sell at the occasional craft fair, as well as online at Etsy when I have time to get pictures on the site. We also make wind chimes and luminaria out of food cans--those cut tin ones with the fancy patterns in the "tin", courtesy of my cutting torch. We'd have our etsy site running more often, but I have 2 Pentax K-1000s, so getting the film developed takes time . When it comes to gold and silver--we have a handful of small hard rock mining claims down by Arivaca AZ, and we mine. My other half, whom I call The Bear BTW, not only runs the largest kettle corn company in southern AZ, he also designs and hopefully will market someday, mining equipment for small scale hard rock miners. Between his newest kettle corn cooker models and his mining equipment prototypes, the backyard looks like a mad scientist's laboratory at times. The offline world has gotten so dystopic that I will do pretty much anything to avoid dealing with it, most of the time, personally. Since I have a good client list, and getting new clients is as easy as asking my current clients to recommend me to friends, I don't have to worry about business instability either. Writing for the internet is a highly competitive field, but there are still plenty of people out there that believe in the old adage of getting what you pay for--so they're willing to pay what a native English speaker capable of writing very well is worth . I have written quite a lot of poetry/short stories for my own amusement--but poets get published, not paid. The only poets that get paid well are the dead ones! Currently, I am working on a steampunk novel series, as well as a steampunk sci-fi parody series--Steam Wars, The Empire Steams Back, and The Return Of The Red-eye . The world will be delighted and amazed when they see my movies LOL. I have an old school cell phone that flips open--it makes phone calls, and you can text if you want. It also receives phone calls, which I never answer. If someone wants to talk to me, they can leave a message--and generally, just because someone thinks they NEED to talk to me doesn't mean the need is mutual! I think I spoke to someone last week--but I don't remember. Probably one of my two grown sons, though they usually just drop by rather than calling.... Historia magistra vitae et testis temporum...
