Using arrays over objects? oh damn that bad coding

redigaffiThat's not really true. Simple data collections are much faster to access through arrays over objects. You really don't know the context of the update statement, as these aren't meant to convey exact contexts.

Will there be a way for us to sponsor or initiate a funding project?For example, I'd love to see us get a highly sophisticated tracking set up for our referring sections which will make our affiliate work much more effective. Would there be a way to sponsor a project like that?

A system like that would be nice.Like in the Monitor Listings, a member can suggest a project by paying $5 (which maybe refunded or even doubled if the project is approved). Then other members can vote for the project by paying $0.01 - $0.05. This will show real interest in the project. (This will not be refunded.) When a project reach certain number of votes, it will then be listed in the Project Funding engine. @dguy I don't think the ref-link-tracking idea is going to hit. How can you measure the revenue generated from it? Projects must have measurable and attributable direct revenues which will be used to pay the backers up to a certain ROI. For example the casino-marketing project will pay up to 130% of invested money.

At clixsense you can actually track individual campaigns. So you can run two campaigns from the same site (maybe on different days, using different banners or splash pages etc.) and track your results separately from each. Those campaigns will tell you down to the dollar how much people have earned. That has literally saved me thousands of dollars in ad costs. So if you could show that people are using unique tracking links, then that would be a wayAnother thought I just came up with would be an upgrade option. where you pay something like $5 for enhanced tracking/stats. I guess that would be the simplest way to do it. I think, in order to make it of interest to more people, you could offer access to site insights. Something like showing members which sites the most and most lucrative referrals come from. That way they know where to spend their ad dollar to get the most bang for the buck. The amount that would save people in affiliate ad costs would more than pay for the upgrade

@dguyYou're right. That makes sense. The directly attributable revenue from this is from the upgrades. We can try a different approach with this one. In Kickstarter, when startups are offering physical goods, the ones who are backing the project are actually rewarded with the goods themselves. In essence, they are helping the project to be built by pre-ordering the product. Maybe those who are backing up the Referral Campaign Tracking are actually pre-ordering the monthly upgrades for such service. And maybe a little return when the subscription picks up.

MichaelKlineIt was just an programmer joke But well, the best practice is use OOP using SOLID, patterns for code reusability, etc. "Simple data collections are much faster to access", thats not really true, Objects are stored the same way in memory as arrays, Objects are just like arras in memory, they just add an abstraction layer for the programmer. @dguyAre you referring to an internal tracking tool? or an external one? Have you seen trck.me ??

yes, I have seen trck.me but I don't like using it because you are giving your advertising data to them for free. They are a potential competitor as an affiliateAre you a member of clixsense? One like that. I consider their tracking the gold standard for affiliates and it is all in house the only difference would be the insights page. That would be anonymous data that people could pay for to use showing how many referrals we get from other sites. How many clicks it takes to achieve that and how lucrative on average those referrals are etc. If you are a member of PTP sites, they sort of have a list of the sites that send them the most hits but they don't show signups, earnings or other important info

dguy, are you saying clixsense has better tracking than trck.me?Are they cheaper? Back on topic. When this launches, how many projects could we expect to see? [removed] = function() {}

@consistent,Clixsense only tracks for the clixsense site. Their tracking is free for members. trck.me probably has better tracking but it comes with a price. Every campaign you create with them goes through their site so they know exactly what works for you and how lucrative it is. That is like you paying for free market data for them. There is nothing stopping them from taking your info and using it themselves

you will be able to invest with money from selling RP..think this way.. someone has to deposit new funds to be able to buy RP from you. All users balances are backed up with real money on payment processors. so if you sell RP, you get real money from someone, so no need for only investing with "fresh" money
