slosumo - Administrator Traffic Value: $28,438.4426 Slovenia 14 like this post 0 people 05/11/2021 15:23 A quick general/development update Perfect Money cashouts were delayed because of some issues in getting an updated password from Carlos -> as soon as we get this all cashouts will be processed, hopefully later today or tomorrow. Apologies for nay inconvenience this caused anyone here. We also have some bad, but on the other side good news regarding PBG. In the past weeks, one of the big gamblers was getting huge wins/seeming way too much again, and we've done another investigation to determine if the plays were legit or not. We've done several previous investigations of this and other users and were never able to find or confirm any exploits, and hence had to default to assuming it was all down to luck. But luckily this time, I got a few more ideas of what to check and how to figure out if and how something was exploited, as the "luck factor" was getting absurd to be considered just luck. After a deep investigation of finding certain patterns, and then being able to find a very specific exploit, we were able to confirm that this user has been using it to win big, since February. And not just one account, we got proof that the same user or group of exploiters was connected with several other accounts on PBG, which have since February won/withdrew/stolen more than 1.1 BTC with this exploit, and ended up being the actual reason of the consistent PBG loses. This was obviously a massive hit on us, and one that was crucial to find - there were 4 games affected by it, and the exploit was also on PPMG <- where it wasn't exploited. We've patched this all up, and created traps for the exploiter to double confirm he was trying to use exactly this exploit, and to trick them to potentially deposit more money back. For these reasons, we weren't able to post about this publicly before. I won't (and can't) go into too much detail on this, as this case has already wasted too much of my time and prevented me to work on certain other improvements to our sites. However, you can find some details we've posted on a forum, to help alert other casinos: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5368224.0 Before you wonder “How obvious this was and why it took this long to fix”: - if we can't prove an exploit we always have to give the benefit of the doubt to the users after a (limited) investigations - if we just disabled any such games, we would never be able to find and fix these exploits, potentiall causing us even more damage in the future. We were lucky that the exploiter was very greedy, and made it so obvious that something was wrong, and those obvious actions/patterns helped us find the exploit - if we'd go and disabled any such games “just to be safe” whenever someone was seemingly being way too lucky, then we'd soon enough have all games disabled, and in the current conditions never have the time/staff/money to properly look into them and reenable them - finding, providing proof and fixing such issues is very complicated, and if we'd look into them “indefinitely until proof was found” - well, this would quickly become a much bigger money sink than getting exploited on a rare occasion. - I've gained information that this exploiter/a group of exploiters is associated with massive exploitations in a ton of other, much, much (100x+) bigger casinos than ours, and they are very capable and resourceful, where they've stolen way way bigger amounts. Casinos that have full time security and anti-exploit teams, yet even with them they managed to be exploited. When it comes to software, 100% security is practically unreachable, even with much much bigger budgets and teams than our very limited one. Forestator/new game development We have secured an amazing artist to prepare all of the design for our game, for a minimal fixed cost and a small share in the revenues of the projects. This will be the key for making a visually appealing & marketable game. I will provide more information on this in the coming weeks – but essentially we're waiting for art to be prepared before we can preapre the game for marketing, and wrap up the core development in a few months. AirTM payment option / New offerwalls / Neteller re-addition These projects are all pending development until someone (me) can get to them and will be delivered ASAP. I've currently got no ETAs, as when I'm bombarded with other urgent unplanned priorities (such as this PBG exploit, and some other cases of cleaning hijackers on PV) they get postponed. We've identified that only a small fraction of users are advertising http websites, where more than 80% of them support https as well, and the rest are mostly dubious redirects, or generally looking malicious websites. We've made this decision based on the following benefits this will provide: - this will allow even Visual Captcha to work properly again, and likely reduce some other potential bugs based on various browser settings users might have - we will be enhancing the security of browsing ads for our users, as based on our research, majority of websites that do not support https, seems to be of malicious nature - In the near future (maybe even this year), all the major browsers are expected to fully drop http support, so this change would be inevitable anyway *This is just a quick headsup here, we'll make a more proper official announcements (via emails etc.), and give users the chance to change any running http ads to https before February 1st. <- we will automatically force https, so if the website promoted supports https, nothing will be needed.
