PTCshare development update

We've begun development on PTCshare, starting with core functionalities – configs, user authentication, copying over core systems. We've also received first design/layout examples from our designer, gave back first feedback and now continuing to finish that.

The layout will be similar to PaidVerts', but with simple improvements in various areas to make it even more user friendly. The color scheme and general feel will also be more professional. Furthermore, we will likely be able to give users an option to switch between a light/Dark color scheme, another very useful improvement!

PaidVerts update

We've contacted our current offer providers for some opinions and next procedures to add some of their additional features, that will offer additional earning options to many of you (surveys, videos...), and just generally improving the revenues these bring. We're also trying to secure a weekly promotion of increased earnings with one of them, that we'd like to do towards end of March.

Orlando is doing a great job with improving SEO results for PaidVerts – after first going over and improving some things on-site, he's now been working hard on back linking, which seems to be resulting in a lot more organic traffic and consistent sign-ups. We're still trying to set up some tool that will allow us to confirm this better, but so far it looks like this is the most likely reason why our signups have been increasing the past few weeks!

War Clicks development update

During the past few weeks we've done a bunch of bug fixes, general improvements and some progression changes on War Clicks, as part of raising the quality even higher. We also did an important rework of our settings system, which will allow us to easily add various customization and Quality of Life settings in the future – a very important aspect in deep incremental games.

We are now working on several things that will help us automate game upkeep much better, as the sooner we do this, the less of our time upkeep tasks will take, that we'll be able to focus on other improvements/bigger builds.

As War Clicks was first launched 3 years ago on March 17th, March will be filled with various promotions, bonuses and events for our users!

This will be the first time we'll be releasing two events within a month, which will be themed a bit differently and encourage users to reach the top rankings even more! Coupled with various sales and product discounts we are also trying to secure a week of offerwall promotions, another Hot New Games spotlight on Kongregate, and we've already secured a Homepage takeover on ArmorGames for a full day. These will all help us stand out more on these sites, gain more new members and also gives users a more exciting month and more reasons to get and spend gold.

We will also take this opportunity to introduce some new buyable boosts, and are also looking at doing some unique boost/rewards giveaways to further encourage all players to stick around.

In March, we will also have to make some very important decisions of what the next big moves for the game are. As we've written in our recent update (https://www.reddit.com/r/warclicks/comments/athwr0/our_2week_focus_and_major_march_plans/) to our users, one of the things we will have to tackle with soon, are some current implementation/technological limits, and likely take that chance into evolving/switching up the late game for our users with some new mechanics, helping change pace of the late game, keep it fresh and more engaging. Plus of course, opening up the late game to even more long-term possibilities.

There are a ton of things connected with keeping the game exciting late game, but we can only do so much, so we will have to make smart decisions to pave the way forward in the best way possible. The main things we want to touch on are: late game progression + potential mechanical changes, CvC + Country change improvements, but also work on early game retention improvements, with which a competition rework is also coupled.

Furthermore, we've been contacted by the biggest Polish game portal, who are very interested in working with us. However, if we would want to make the most of such a collaboration, we would have to make quite some big changes to the game (localization, potential new “fresh database”, adapting country to clan system for them...), which would be a hefty time investment, and one we likely can't commit to fully until we first resolve the current pending issues/improvements that will keep the current game version growing and interesting. But they seem to be open on first doing some test run without any need for major adaptation, and when we could commit more time on such a rework/integration that definitely seems like a huge market that can open up to us.

So right now we're really focused on updates that will improve game automation/upkeep, increase playtime/monetization/retention, which will allow us to keep the game entertaining and keep a healthy “long tail“ with minimal upkeep work, so we can focus on some of the bigger steps to expanding the game further!

I'm glad you took up that dual color scheme idea. It's not significant for the site but it should help people to feel more empowered and take ownership.

So at what point do you shift from upside improvements at war clicks to more marketing? I guess there is only so much you can do for the game. Will you focus more on getting new players and looking to plug the game into big marketing networks at that point?

Also, what about a WC app?

i also think a WC app should be a priority to go for. We have such a big userbase now. When you launch a good working app right from the start Loads of people will download it right away and in no time it will be picked up by many people that never do online games and only play games on mobile.

It will be even more easier to do in app purchases when people can buy with their phonebill wink

February 20th: 27200 daily active users.
March 7th: 33400 daily active users.
+6200 in 2 weeks, while we banned 500 accounts during those 2 weeks as well.

Now it's our task to properly guide them towards offerwalls, bulk ads and the games.
On our way to 100k active users before end of year, as our original goal was.

got 83 cents for a survey. Bought more than 1000 RPs. Easy to earn with offerwalls. You can make much more with offerwalls than with the ad isssues. At least if you are in  lower groups. It's like i was in the 3M+ group according to the today's ads. grin  (advertisement for free or low group users)

Is it possible to add the offerwalls when you're sending out MTV ads.  i.e. instead of just advertising MTV/PBG/PPMG etc.  Might bring in a bit more income?

@dguy As I believe we already outlined a bit more in one of the recent news about "broader WC plans", WC app is not really viable for this year.

It is simply too much work/investment at this stage, and would require a major rework of the game/design/UI adaptation at this point. You also have to note that most things that come to expansion of the game, require a ton of pre-planning/specifying by me which is extremely difficult and time consuming on a live game. Plus a lot of fundamental math and code got very complex over the years and is hard to "pass onto someone else", especially with my limited time of ~60 hours/month for this. So expanding the team for WC at this point would be impractical at this stage as well, if we wanted to speed some of these "Big things" up.

Especially with planned release for PTCshare this also further reduces my time / ability to focus more on WC until its launch.

In short, to recap the current optimal plan:
Some more focus on improving current game quality and automation AND ensuring scaling/long term play, looking into adding it to any new platforms (if work needed for that is not excessive). Then it's mainly upkeep & some limited updates, while we work on preparing a new version/game, and take some of the fundamental problems this one has with easier expansion to mobile, other platforms etc. into account when working on it.

We are doing some marketing constantly, but it is also limited due to constant upkeep work & specifying/researching/debating the next steps. That's why better automation and resolving some of the final "big problems" the game has is our priority right now.

That's pretty much what you do in a crowdfunded business, with a crowdfunded project, yes.
Nice to see you're feeling excited though!

I was just looking over the Project funded section and I guess I have some old questions.. what happened to sumo roll app?  if the answer is btc dried up why not play that into dogecoin? which by the way why aren't any developments like bitcoin games converted to dogecoin as well?

Plenty of other crypto with market share..  lots of people buy them with no where to spend we have the setup already just change up to accept the coin..

If we are crowd funding projects we could buy apps already pre-built and just update name/graphics for quick money generators..

Sumo Roll didn't work because Carlos wasn't able to set up a proper business that can handle bitcoin-related rewards to users.

Regarding dogecoin: Nowadays people are able to convert their btc to Doge at 0.2% fees and vice versa, so if they really feel like playing the games with their Doge, it's extremely easy for them to convert their balances and do so.

@ss,

Yes, I remember you saying you weren't interested in the app a while back. I thought I'd ask again since things have changed a lot for WC it seems and so I thought you guys might have changed your thinking. With the huge user base, that is a large marketing base but if it is too time/resource consuming, I can understand you not going that route.

For marketing in general, that will always be good I think. If you set a percentage of your budget on that you should be able to grow your userbase and bring in new members but it will also be time consuming. This would be after you got the final product fully up to your goals and all buffed and polished as they say
