Actually yes you are manuipulating the market to make the market flow the way u think it should.
So we are going to stay at 6 baps like forever? if u look at last years, at this prices of rp we should be at 4-5 bap per rp but looks like we are stuck at 5-6 for a long time.

Nothing I do will change that. I’m not bigger than the market. As a matter of fact, nothing has changed at all except that I have swapped my position with Hoppa at my expense. Everything else is the same except for improved order flow and BAP burn.

If your concern is you are getting BAP for 33 cents on the dollar versus 25 cents on the dollar, you aren’t really suffering. Where else can you get such a deal?

1.000.000 bap is not even $125 if you buy them on the bap-market.
It's only $500 if you buy it with bulk-ads.

1mm BAP is $500 in ads the site needs to deliver to eliminate that much BAP debt

Those fees saved the site money, not us.

@dguy I have to apologize for my expression of disappointment. I didn't notice that you bought out Hoppa. I thought he removed his bid after our complaining and next you placed your big BAP market bid.

Said this, I don't see why you consider yourself the market savior. Nobody told you to go and buy him out, so I think it's out of place your complaining about losing that much money in fees while doing this move.

I have been vocal many times in the past two years about Hoppa's huge bids because I pay attention to the market and notice how he manipulated prices away from a price he didn't want to reach and/or stalled it many times before and am pretty sure he will keep doing it again and again to his benefit as long as people keep fueling his behavior by buying him out. All the manipulation and everybody else's consent because whales have bigger economic power is wrong, and will still be wrong no matter how many times @Domingo gives me a disagree.

To people like @bambarec and others that think like him, I have to say that I'm invested in this site as much as I can, and my budget does not allow me to put more outside money in since it's been 6 years without getting any ROI. He and others should also note that we in Honduras are not by far as economically solvent as Europeans or Americans, and we're in a huge economic and employment crisis after two major hurricanes + the pandemic + 8 years of having the biggest drug dealer as president, so we don't have any extra money to throw away anymore.

So the only way to go for me is to reinvest earnings, and daytrade to accumulate RPs as much as I can. That means that a fluid market is absolutely necessary and that those day trading fees also add to the daily results. It also means getting the best possible prices to DCA and make the most of the situation hoping that one day we accumulate enough to be done with the excess of offers and we get dividends again. Understand this: I won't ever give my BAP for shares at 6 unless I can earn reselling them fast at 7, and I won't ever buy an overpriced share bid at 0.0008-7 if I know they are propping up the market when it should be instead at 0.0005-6, capisce?

I was churning the market to burn BAP for the site on my own initiative. I believe that the elimination of BAP will increase the average ad issue value because fewer BAPs chasing the same ad dollars mean higher BAP ad value. If that happens, more interest will be drawn to people buying ads and it should create a virtuous circle in the BAP ads. Stagnation isn't doing any good for any of us.

Hoppa was blocking this effort so I acted against it. I'm not trying to be a market savior, I'm actually acting out of long-term self-interest. I don't care what you would pay for anything. You are a free market participant and have every right to pay what you want. The same goes for Hoppa and me. That is how a free market works. I have accumulated a lot of economic power here (relatively) and I am choosing to use it in a way that benefits the site which will ultimately benefit me and the rest of us.

It may be a drop in the bucket but at least it is moving us in the right direction and being a positive force.

Oh, and I wasn't complaining about losing money. It was a sacrifice and calculated risk I was willing to make.

Since Feb. 11 our total BAP has gone from 1161 million BAP to 1136 million or a drop of about 25 million BAP.

That is a burn rate of about 2% in just over a month and represents about $12,500 in ads we don't need to send. Assuming a $400 value in a daily ad issue, that is about one month's worth of ad issues we saved via BAP burns alone. cool

Whatever we are doing, we need to keep doing it because we are going in the right direction and we are closer than we think w00t

Even with the shutdown we still managed to burn more BAP.

From 1122 to 1110 or 12 million BAP. That's good for another $6,000 in ads we don't need to send out.

That's ~$25,000 in savings  since Feb. 11th! 4% of our BAP

Burn baby burn!

cool

Only $550,000 in BAP to go tongue

Was quite some time since I was active on forum due to personal obligations.

What are marketplace fees?

Still 0.25 % on both regular and BAP, or something changed?

Easy, buy low sell higher.

Say you bought 100 RP's at 6.
You paid 600 BAP, but the seller receives only 570 BAP (600 minus 5% fee).
30 BAP's burned.

Now you sell your RP's at say 7. The buyer pays 700 BAP but you only receive 665 (700 minus 5% fee).
35 BAP's burned.

So with every trade 5% of the BAPs used get burned.

Edit:
Overall you made 65 BAP's profit in a trade like this and Paidverts/mytrafficvalue burned 65 BAP's without the need to pay them out. Win-Win.smile

Much of it is done by the site via the gaming market. We can burn up to a few million per day and we always seem to be at least in net positive on the results table every day. I assume we have a large enough pool of BAP gamblers that we are now staying positive.

You can actually burn BAP yourself using the BAP market. The going rate to convert $1 to shares and then to BAP is $3 gained for $1 spent even if you convert at the bid price. The site makes money from the fees. So you need to be patient, earn your ad issue money and convert it back to BAP.

Another trick would be to take your $1, convert it to $3 in BAP and then put $1.50 or so on the BAP gaming tables. Even if you lose it all, you still come out ahead and the$1.50 in BAP is burned

@dguy

Thank for info.

@all

Just info about BAP burn, do not forget that all active players daily receive extra 60 BAP, so you need to add that every time to daily BAP's burned in order to get exact burned amount. Probably you guys did that, but just saying.

We had a bit of a setback this month. From 1112 million to 1116 or an increase of 4 million BAP. That's good for $2000 more in BAP ads we need to send out. That's not bad though considering we had huge sales and contests to restore goodwill after the shutdown. I'm pretty sure all those sales will produce benefits down the road.

Shortly after the contest period, we peaked at around 1120mm so it is already starting to come back down.

I saw the news message of ad pools or something like that starting 1 August.Hopefully this will bring even more down the RP so I can buy a lot of them if that happen.In life they say we should be prepared for opportunities and this is one to not miss from what I know from past history here.I hope to see RP price to 0.0001 or even lower.

@kejdi

0.0001 per RP sounds nice to go on a buying spree but is unreasonable.
The lowest RP price was
0.0004 for a brief moment a few years ago.
A realistic price expectation is
0.0006, maybe it could go down to 0.0005, which makes easy numbers for buying, but not lower than that, because RP price relates to company valuation. and an RP value of 0.0001 means things are going bad for the company and all of us too.
