coinbase is pretty cheap on fee. It the one i see for all my bitcoin transactions. It like anything else you have to shop around and find the best deal out there.

Blockchain.info is horrible.

If you have been using faucets or have a lot of other sources for micro transactions their fees will eat you alive if you try to send it from your wallet to somewhere else.

This is the reason we got rid of blockchain.info in the first place.. Sometimes we paid more than 6% in fees just because we were receiving so many faucet-deposits.

Well, I have also heard very negative about blockchain. My admin also strictly says not to use it. Sometimes if the fees is less, then their transaction gets lost also, which needs to be then rebroadcasted. Not recommended at all.

You can press "Advanced Send" and manually adjust the fee, but be warned this will impact the length of time it takes for this transaction to confirm. It may never confirm, and may eventually be rejected after about 72 hours.

One time get my btc away from blockchain and leave it forever :X

I've just sent 0.50 BTC from blockchain and the fee was 0.0006264 BTC, that is $0.74.

That's very low.

I think the fee is very high for sending less than 0.01 btc, try to reach 0.01 BTC and try again.

Its no better. I am trying to send .04 BTC to MTV, and they want half for a fee. I just need to use my coinbases going forward.

Can I deposit here from a different BTC address, or do I have to change something somewhere?

Deposits can come from anywhere, only BTC cashout adress changes need a support ticket. You could for example put your MTV deposit adress in all faucets you use without a problem smile

@gugakip  OK Thanks.

BTW, I played around with blockchain for a bit. Looks like if you send about $8, it "only" charges a 9% fee, way better than the 49% fee they were charging for me to move $50. Makes no sense.

Looks like I will move my stash $8 at a time. wink

I've got only one btc wallet and that's on blockchain.info. I used it few times to send bigger amounts and I never noticed that their fees were high.
Just now I checked the status of my wallet, since I haven't used it for a year, at least. I've got $1,79 there so I sent it to MTV and the fee was $0.32. That's a lot so it seems that it's really not good for tiny transactions.
I'll create new wallet on Coinbase, just in case. grin

Bitcoin transaction fees are based mainly on the number of bytes in the transaction. They're not a percentage of the amount transacted.

If you had sent BTC 1000, you'd still have paid $0.32. Bitcoin is not really intended for lots of very small transactions
