Our battle with PayPal customer support is continuing. But it's taken a bit of a step backwards; as their idiot support person has jumped the gun, and blocked our account... So we're trying to get hold of a supervisor to review our account again, and get this ironed out.

There is no reason for them to not to business with PaidVerts. We comply with their terms and conditions to the letter. PayPal can only be used for purchasing advertising, and cashing out user ad click earnings. There's nothing wrong with that.
And they serve the needs of thousands of Paid To Click websites all over the world. And we have gone to great lengths to ensure that PayPal cannot be abused - via deposit limits, limited permissions, randomly assigned ads, with randomly assigned values. So PayPals generic reply of unacceptable risk for them is just an excuse to not understand things properly.

So that's the main issue today; and at the same time as that, we're looking for alternatives to PayPal. Try and fast track direct credit card processing, Payza and all the other options. But losing PayPal would be a real setback to our growth. We won't lose any money specifically; but PayPal is the most widely used payment processor out there; if we can't accept it, or even permit it just for cashouts. That's going to make life difficult for new users.

Most annoying! Things are going utterly perfectly, and now some dumbass support staffer is throwing an unnecessary spanner in the works.

--

Anyway, in other news the programmers have deployed the BAP upgrades:

1) The maximum period of account activity is now 21days. If you view any activation ads beyond that, it'll just reset your active status counter to 21days.

2) You'll receive 8 * 50 BAP ads daily, until you have clicked on 100 BAP ads in total. At which point it'll drop down to 2 * 50 BAP ads daily.

To tune you in... here is the latest message we've sent to PayPal:

1) PaidVerts is a “Paid To Click” business.
Exactly the same as NeoBux, Clixsense and a thousand others, all of whom accept PayPal.

PRODUCT / SERVICE:
Advertisers can purchase guaranteed communication with our users. For just 2cents per user, advertisers will get users to type out three selling points about their product / business (in captcha form). And after doing that the user then proceeds to the advertisers website for 30seconds. At which point the user can collect their micro-payment for viewing that advertisement.

i) Ads are issued at random, between our 30,000+ users. There is no way to launder money via this process. And the values assigned to individual ads are also random.
ii) Advertisers can only purchase advertising using PayPal. They cannot fund any account balance, transfer money to others, or anything like that. We are 100% compliant with anti-money laundering practices.
iii) We impose purchase limits on user accounts, to prevent fraud. New users may only purchase $11/week worth of ads for their first 2 weeks. Followed by $33/week worth of ads for the next 10weeks, and finally the limit increases to the maximum of $125/week thereafter. This protects PayPal, and it protects us.
iv) We have incredible transparency / logs for each ad campaign purchased, check out the memo line of every single transaction made to our account. It provides a public link to the details the campaign purchased, and even shows you every single click we’ve delivered, along with a time stamp, username and other information.

USERS:
Users can signup at our website for free. No purchase required!
They accumulate “Bonus Ad Points” which are required to receive paid ads, via first activating their account (free), and then via viewing up to 8 “BAP ADS” daily (free!), which are basically free ads; where the user is rewarded with bonus points (not real money).... Users who accumulate the most Bonus Points, will then receive the highest value paid ads, eg. They’ll earn slightly more per ad view than users with less Bonus Ad Points. This is how we ensure our traffic is both active + valuable. And give advertisers the best value for money.

Users then receive paid advertisements daily, depending upon availability.
They receive cash for those ads that they view, and as they accumulate sufficient funds for cashout, they can withdraw that money to their PayPal account.

BUSINESS MODEL / SUSTAINABILITY:
We deliver paid ads to users from $0.0005+ per visit.
We need to maintain an average payment of $0.02/visit or less, in order for the business to be profitable.

However, between our BAP ADS (free ads users view, for no reward), and a mix of very low value ads, and some high value ads, we’re able to maintain our averages. Whilst giving the users a very good experience with some users receiving ads over $1 for just one click.... Via randomly assigning values to certain ads that are higher than $0.02 per visit.
eg. Look at our website statistics right now: http://paidverts.com/member/system_statistics.html

Bulk Ads Delivered: 7082157
Total Value: $75,945.88
Average Per Click Value: $0.0107

This is just under a 50% rate of profitability for the business at present. And we’re able to deliver some super high value ads to users; which are balanced out via thousands of tiny tiny value ads; which are users are “encouraged” to view; so that they don’t consume their Bonus Points (that they had to view ads to earn) in vain.

--------

As mentioned above, this is a Paid To Click business.
PayPal serves thousands of these businesses all over the world;
www.neobux.com & www.clixsense.com are the two biggest.
So there is no reason to discriminate against our business. As it’s fundamentally no different. The only thing we do different (better) is mix things up! Rather than paying a flat rate of $0.01 per ad view, which no valuable user will be interested in. We mix things up; giving some low value, and other high value ads. That way we get the best of both worlds, for no additional cost.

--------

Proposed Solutions:

1) Ideally we’d like unrestricted access to all of PayPals features, particularly your Bulk Pay system. As we cannot pay thousands of users their earnings manually. That’s impossible. We will be turning over millions of dollars this year. And PayPal will make a fortune in transaction fees.

2) If “buying ads” is deemed too much of a risk for you, we can disable that option. And use PayPal only as a method for users to cashout their ad click earnings. This is not ideal, but it will serve as a bare minimum... We will fund our PayPal account via bank wire; and then distribute the funds to our thousands of users.

3) Mitigate PayPals risk via a Rolling Reserve. PayPal can block 10-50% of every single ad purchase our account receives. And hold that money for 3-6months, to guarantee against chargebacks. That way we have full use of our account, and you have a huge reserve to protect yourselves.

------

If you have any further questions, please get in contact with me! It is very annoying that you have just closed out account without even consulting us, or giving us advice on how we can better work together.

Our company is currently exploding in size. We will become one of your top 1% of users by the end of the year I’m sure. Please help us get there!

PayPal... let's hope they forward this to a supervisor ASAP and not drag this on any longer. Would be a shame to lose it, so keeping fingers crossed they'll have some common sense and enable all functions for MTV.

We're using all forms of communication. And let's give it a bit of time before we do anything. See what the situation will be first.

#facepalm, what a shame.

Paidverts hasn't been growing in active users anymore since the problems with paypal started. (We could have over 14k active users by now I believe)
They have the most awful service i've ever faced.

They have cost me 100s of dollars as well and now they are doing this to us.. While they could make a load of cash by accepting our business, which they frankly don't seem to care about it.

I wish you the best Jo, good luck with their support. You'll need it.

Hi Jo,

Paypal in well known for their ways. They don't like to be pushed around and they never act in haste.
You should give them time to review the issue.
Everyday scores of sites turn scam and they end up settling disputes and that is why they are extra cautious with such business models.
However, they are fair in their dealings and this issue will be resolved favorably. You only need to give them time.

On the other hand, I dont think there is a need to panic. I remember that Neobux had 5 years ago their PayPal account also blocked for the same reason. And we all know how that ended. In any case, you have my full support Jo.

PayPal is the worst e payment processor atm. No really likes PayPal. I think its better to move on to another payment processor like Neteller or Payoneer in case these guy keep playing fools for the next two weeks or so.

Paypal is the only reason that made me to move on to Bitcoins.window.onbeforeunload = function() {}

PayPal will continue to toss you around to different people... Sad when a company has more responsive support via Facebook & Twitter.

The only way to get anywhere is to call them and getting bounced to their compliance / risk department. (Maybe try asking them next time you call.)

Don't be surprised if you start getting some chargebacks, people are causing panic on eMoneySpace, telling each other to start filing disputes.

Yea that'll be annoying; as it'll justify PayPals risk angle. But they've brought it on themselves; by freezing the account.

If people hold off the chargebacks, other than for pending campaigns that never activated. That'll go a long way to helping us get back in business with them.

And technically people have had their purchased ads delivered; so there's no reason to chargeback, other than fraudulently. And ad click earnings to PayPal are frozen, but they can still earn & cashout via any other method.

Let's see what happens later today. I've offered them more than reasonable terms for continuing business with us. If they choose to freeze a portion of each purchase - then that's great. We can handle that without issue. There's really no risk for them involved; as they pass it all on to us at any rate. The account is linked to our bank account, so they can take money at will.
