We fixed a number of security issues last night. So the monitor and everything is back online. We'll keep an eye on things for a while to see if we covered all the gaps.

PaidVerts will be offline for about 1 hour later today, likely around 9-10pm server time. We need to optimize the database, as it's getting pretty huge. Our ad history table has over 3million entries in it.

After the optimization we should be launching the next BAP game: Compound Boxes. And check out the stats so far for our 3 BAP games (well over 200,000 plays):

The programmers are fixing and improving various bits all the time, it's actually hard to keep up with what they've done! So keep checking PV for all the latest upgrades.

And the next key feature we're working on is the "Request Micro Ads" button that'll appear on your Paid Ads page when you have no ads. And you can click that up to 2x per day to get a bunch of mini ads if you're bored and looking for something to do, whilst you wait for the next daily ad issue!

And as I posted on Facebook last night, PaidVerts is definitely snowballing;

Hi Jo, I think that new users should receive suddenly some Paid ads after watching 1 activation ad, and don't need to wait some hours to receive them.

I have lots of refs that are active with $0.00 earnings. I'm losing, so is Paidverts/MTV with potential customers.

I think the main problem is that free members don't know that they need to view activation ads first to get BAP which will give them first ads.

And those who do know about activation ads and BAP they don't know where to find the link for activation ads, because let's be honest it is not very obvious thing in "Members Home Page".

Yeh, perhaps a "view activation ad" should also be in the paid ad section somewhere at the top near our BAP. I'm sure some would see it there before seeing it in the members page.

I agree with you blaxbla. It isn't very simple.
Then after you see an activation ad, at the bottom of the page, this appears: "Success! View another ad". If you click it, it goes to the paid ad section (and new users havo 0 ads).

By clikcing that link it should go to another activation ad.

Even if the new members try to click the activation ad , they  are able to  view only one activation ad.Then don't know the procedure to view next activation ad. The better option is keeping all the 5 activation ads in a single page as like the paid ads. We need to give them an explanation to wait for the paid ad also. Otherwise  all the 5 activation ads can also be placed in the paid ad section itself .
I am receiving few referrals everyday. But most of them are not even clicking single ad. Because the members used to visit the paid ad section.They found nothing...then they are leaving the site..Just we are wasting our money in the promotion. I Hope Jo will give first priority to this issue to keep the members active.

This Activation Ad is a problem that need one permently solution. I beleave that 5 activaions ADS in Paid AD page solved the problem. Easy to do! I´m prety sure that we are lossing new menbers because of the activation ad!

1. We'll update the error message regarding inactive accounts; though that is pretty clear. Linking straight to the activation ad, and not the members homepage.

2. We'll add a green bar to the bottom of the view ads page, like we have on the games page - showing the Activation Ads link, and showing how many of 5 you have clicked today. To better promote that.

3. When there are no ads available, the "Request Micro Ads" button will appear (as soon as its built - next 24-48hours); and that will instantly give new users some ads to click on whilst they wait... As I think this is the real issue; if users see no ads. They think we're a PTC with no ads, and just leave.

I know of one site that emails you when you have new ads. This can be good but it can also get people to opt out of the site so you might or might not want to do it.

Without trying to insult anyone, alot of PTC users are not the most computer savvy people.
They are used to signing up, getting a confirmation email, and within a few minutes, be clicking ads and making a few pennies on day one.

Many of my referrals never got past step one and clicked an activation ad because it is just not as simple as they are used too.

I know you are suggesting micro ads, which is great, but how about this idea.

Give all new sign ups a group of 5 paid ads right off the rip, of a value of $.005 or similar.

Instead of ads from paying advertisers, have them be step by step tutorials with screen shots, highlighted with arrows, circles, etc, showing where to find and how to use activation ads, expaiining the BAP concept, showing a how to video or two, and giving newbies their first few cents. Include whatever would be best to really help them understand and get started.

I think that will be a worthwhile investment. If they go no further, they cant cash out $.03 anyway and will eventually be returned to the portfolio.

I also thing a way for members to contact downline members with helpful hints and a nudge now and again, will be productive. You could always include that ability in an upgrade for members going after referrals.

It can't hurt, right??

Can you adjust it that we can sort it by username, BAP, Bulk Ads, Targeted Ads, Cheap Traffic and Commissions?? And while doing that, it might be handy to have some number in the link, for the page you are viewing. So if you are checking out page number 80 of the top earners, click somebody and go back, you don't have to click untill number 80, but just adjust it in the link.

The user oPatricho has 3127550 BAP. He bought ADs for $1116 and earned $181 with 1.417 clicks.

You have 1910788 BAP. You bought ADs for $78 and earned $183 with 63 clicks.

Probably Jo has hit big in the BAP games, otherwise there is no good explanation for that much BAPs.

Jo received the following referral rewards:
50k + 200k + 2000 k BAP = 2250k bap

Ad purchases 78$ = 78 x 3100BAP =244050bap

Total= 2494050 BAP (activation ads not even included)

He's earned 183$ from ad interactions = 366000 BAP consumed

So that brings his BAP down to 2128050 BAP, which means

That Jo's down by about 217k BAP by losing his BAP in games and letting ads recycle.

Sortable columns is already in the pipeline; but obviously its a low priority issue.

And correct, nearly all of my BAP is from account milestones. Namely the very bottom one:

Refer 20+ friends, that view 25,000+ ads, and buy $250 ads, to receive 2,000,000 BAP
Progress: 20/20 and 25000/25000 and $250.00 / $250 Completed on 07/04/2014

But I generally let all but the super high value ads recycle... As I take a salary from MTV dev funding; so my account is only really used for live testing & buying shares. I'm not really maximising my short term earnings as much as perhaps I could; i'm just using it as a lever to give a bit more control over the business, to try and make it grow.
