Ok.. today is on track to be entirely annoying!

Hundreds of PayPal cashouts to process; and we're trying to get PayPals support to activate bulk payments; but they're being retarded and sending us broken links to things we're not really interested in.
But if their solution is to upgrade our account, then at the same time as enabling bulk payments - we might also be able to accept credit cards via a personalised interface.

And there's a bug with the PaidVerts ad views process at the moment, which seems to affect Recycled ads dissproportionately... Plus we still have the random unreliability in normal ad views.... So that's resulted in over 400 support tickets overnight. big surprise

So, i've sent that all back to the programmers; and lets see if they can patch things up today.

Not much other news right now, we're just trying to keep up with all this growth, and maintaining our existing code & databases... I'm trying to bring Paul on board full time ASAP; but there's the standard catch 22 -- we need productivity to bring in the money; and we need money to bring the productivity! But it's not a huge issue, we can already afford 5000euros a month for a good programmer. Let's see what we can sort out.

Tell me the above link isn't broken?
As when I click it, it just sends me to the PayPal homepage. Irrelevant whether you click it as a guest / logged in.

Yup... straight to the homepage.

They're probably referring to PayPal Payments Advanced/Pro. I've heard that also includes API access. Cost (for people in the US) is $5 - $30 per month.

But it looks like PayPal Spain only has PayPal Payments Pro... £20 per month.

If you need help with support tickets, I could help take care of those, so you can handle PayPal withdrawals more. tongue

I'm waiting for PayPal to reply at the moment. But I guess Credit Cards really should be a priority; no reason PV shouldn't be able to accept them.

---

And www.paidverts.com is back online.
I believe we've fixed the ad view errors, particularly regarding Recycled Ads. Let me know if otherwise.

* I doubt we'll have resolved 100% of ad view errors; but we definitely should have fixed the main one that seems to have been introduced last night.

---

Now i'm waiting for the programmers to help me out with the 450+ support tickets. I'm planning to issue an automated reply to all of them, closing them all in the process. Then if your issue is about something that is still unresolved; just reply to it. And I'll investigate!

But 90% of them are for sure about ad view errors; which has hopefully been resolved for the moment.

And i'm on the lookout for some big investors...
(Though it sounds like credit cards & lots of small ones will be the more realistic solution)

But PaidVerts definitely has momentum right now. Our daily revenues are very strong; and our fast track queue debt is very small. Thereby there is a big opportunity to make a huge return on investment, very quickly. 250% in 3-6months is an outragious opportunity.

And at the same time, this business is growing very rapidly. That's creating one set of problems; but its also a huge opportunity. Unlimited funding should be right around the corner; and when we start adding even more businesses to the portfolio. This is when MTV becomes an empire. And unlimited things can happen.

And the key to making that happen is improving our staffing situation... Primarily we need to increase our development productivity; via full time programmers. In addition to that; we're going to need support staff & people to manage our subsidiary businesses. As it's becoming a lot of work, and as we add even more - it'll be well beyond the scope of one person to do everything.

So, my wishlist for today is to find $50-100k investment; ideally split two ways;
50% to buy up shares; and double the share price in the process.
50% for the FT250 plan; to give our development funding a big nudge forward so that we can bring on board the first full time developers. And start adding new features, businesses, products and games to the portfolio asap! As there are a lot of good ideas queued up, and they're all instant money with the traffic and attention we have right now.

So the faster we get them deployed, the faster everyone makes money and the bigger this business gets.

And the Micro Ads button is back:
http://www.paidverts.com/member/paid_ads.html

If you have no paid cash ads to view; you can request a dozen mini ads! That should help get new users started whilst they wait for the daily ad issues.

The PaidVerts graph says that we've breached the 5,000 rank. Here's an image of how it's interpreted ( The low border is supposed to be 80,000 not 60,000, my bad there

It's quite unnatural but that's what it means ^^

Ok cool. And it seems we're into the top 4000 then. Or thereabouts.

Alexa needs to borrow some tricks from google analytics. Their graphs are pretty old school!

And just thinking about Activation Ads...

Maybe we should set the maximum period of pre-activation to 28days. Then if you view more activation ads than that, it just resets the clock back to 28days.

As if people view activation ads for a week; then stop. Their account will be active for ages; even if they stop the second week.

But a low priority thing right now. Just a thought!

With 400 support tickets Jo how are you handling the customer service? Are you adding support staff behind the scenes? I assume this will start being a cost on the bottom line as PV grows

We're running an automated reply to the support tickets at the moment; basically telling people to re-open the ticket if the issue is still relevant. That'll wipe out 90% of them.

The rest i'll deal with. But we have no support staff at the moment; just me. And we can't really afford anyone else right now, nor do we have the programming in place to support multiple support staff.

That's another scaling issue we'll deal with as soon as theres time/money.

And the exchanges with BTC-E are complete. But we have no further bitcoins to sell right now.
