MTV UPDATE



To avoid exploitation of the fee rounding when selling RPs for BAP we will soon be pushing an update that will sort this out like so:
Fees will simply be rounded up to the nearest whole number. Selling 1 RP for 5 BAP will now result in a 1 BAP fee, and not 0.25, or how it ended up being 0 (due to BAPs being integer type).
Similarly selling 5 Rps for 5 BAP each, will result in a 2 BAP fee (1.25 rounded up). This ensure no amount/combination of overall sale value can be exploited.

To prevent abuse of people selling normally and trying to buy Rps „1 by 1“ off someone, for the pure purpose of harming the seller, there will now also be a minimum purchase limit of 5 Rps when buying via BAP, if the seller has more than 5 Rps left on a specific sale. If the seller has less than 5 Rps left for sale, than the minimum buy limit there will simply be the amount of Rps left for sale. This minimum buy limit will ensure the seller can't be harmed by such buyers/harm-doers. This limit will be indicated via a confirmation/alert pop-up when trying to buy less than the minimum amount.

A slight side effect of this change will also result in making it harder to try and „hide your BAP from the BAP tax“ or exploiting free BAP in general via the RP market.

By the end of the week Andraz will go through the remainder of his tickets that have not been replied to yet.

WarClicks update

In the past month we have done major improvements in the game, which we wanted to sort out before publishing on Kongregate, to ensure we can get the best possible results from it.
A lot of the success there will depend on the game rating.

Quick recap: We have made a full rework of the Country Invasion(now known as Country HQ), which creates a MUCH better social experience within the game, which is important for long term interest, fun experience and retention of most engaged users, which ends up monetizing the game far better.

It is not only a much, much more fun & engaging experience now, it also introduces more interesting options of gold spending, which are crucial to the game's economy.
We will also be adding Country vs Country fights later on, to further focus on the late game and find additional ways to make the game engaging for longer periods and even further optimized for optimal monetization.
Single player games are very limited to where a player sees the value of spending money, whereas multiplayer games & games with good social elements have a much higher potential cap on that value.

As part of this, a full in-game chat rework has also been done. Each country now has a specific room to chat in their own language in order to discuss strategies, but more importantly there's also a general chat room anyone can view, connect with others, get help, have some friendly banter...
It again helps make the experience a lot more engaging and increases retention and potential game value a player sees.

Via the constant flow of updates and game improvements, we have also seen a consistent rise in our new ratings on ArmorGames, where in the past 2 months our average new rating has been ~85%, so our all time average is rising consistently as well. This is an important indicator we are doing things right, and due to the similarity of audiences between Kongregate and AG, this helps us set good benchmarks we can expect when we publish on Kongregate.

For ideal results we are aiming for a 4 star (80%) rating as Kongregate focuses on those games via promotion the most and helps them grow much more. As a minimum we'd like to at least hit 3.8(76%) from the release, as that's where many of the benefits start already. So the consistently growing ratings on AG have helped us improve and confirm the quality of the game, before we publish it on Kongregate.

ArmorGames has also been extremely happy with our collaboration, consistent improvements and community management
This made them put us under the popular games widget on the first page!
Furthermore they have offered us a „homepage takeover“ - the big promoted banners/background that encapsulate their site – which is the most premium position to be exposed at!
We are currently working on the details of the promo, but it is exciting that we now have such an opportunity for huge exposure and branding and it comes at no cost!

This added exposure will also help get many new users to play warclicks' improved experience and more likely to up-vote the game, increasing our all time average rating – which again will help us cement our position and benefits from publishing on AG even more!

This week we managed to start working on the Kongegrate integration, which we currently estimate will take 1-2 weeks.
There are some technical issues & questions to clear up in the following days before we have a more exact time-line/plan for the actual release and promotion, but we expect and want the Kong launch to have an even bigger effect on the game compared to the one of ArmorGames.
We will be working towards it in a manner that ensures us to get the best possible results.
We will likely go out with a Beta version for their „Premium members“ to help us test the game, then do a soft launch and after that receive major promotions from the Kongregate platform.
Especially if our game is accepted really well, we might be featured by them heavily.
There is also an extended partnership option with them, but for that they first need to see the game in action for a couple of months, and ensure that the team behind it properly support, update the game and handle the community well.
Again, AG is a great benchmark here where we've proven ourselves, so they are willing to open up to new opportunities.
This gives us extra reassurance that we can do something similar on Kong, but on a bigger scale!

Exciting times are ahead for the game.
It has potential and we might soon be having the results we were aiming for all along!

Payeer issues:

We have recently been dealing with quite a lot of payeer issues, which were caused by their support service.
Their API would often not credit the deposit on our website, which would cause members to file a complaint with payeer directly, causing them to completely disconnect our API..

After having spoken with their support and reassuring them that we always credit the deposits of our users, they have re-enabled our API.

We hope they will further improve their API to prevent such issues in the future.

PlayBitcoinGames marketing:

We are currently working with a number of managers of signature campaigns on BitcoinTalk.
So far communication has been slow, causing delays, but we are now at the point that we´re in direct contact with a number of signature designers to prepare the final steps.

We will start our campaign very soon and hope to get the results we are after.

I'm wondering if you could introduce a Game of Risk element in the game or maybe as a side game that runs a month or so where country teams can work to take over the world the way the game of Risk operates. So you can have countries invade and occupy other countries and those populations are forced to work (or pay some of their gold in tribute) with the new countries or they can revolt if they aren't treated well, etc. Maybe they could make secret deals with other countries to liberate them (for a gold tribute fee or something). You could also have them making alliances etc.

So maybe a daily payout of gold for how much territory each country occupies

If you have done anything like this (I haven't played the game for a while) then disregard this idea.

I think you would also need to make the game play different from Risk in a way that you don't violate copyright

There was no FTQ payment due to it not being a profitable month.
Paidverts and PPMG have made less profit compared to the old days (Remember that PPMG used to make $8-12k a month?)
Paidverts usually did 17-21k (14k now).

The reason behind the lesser result within Paidverts are the payment processor problems and the fact that we haven´t done sales/promotions in quite a while.. Payza was a huge deal for Paidverts. (We still have to deduct that loss some time soon as well)

My Traffic Value had a hard month as it kept losing money on super slots, which we are still waiting to pan out.

And overall we put much more money in development as we´ve been working extremely hard on PlayBitcoinGames, PlayPerfectMoneyGames and Warclicks.

Soon we will also have the ability to have a wagering competition on Paidverts, in which we will have a big Bulk Ad Points jackpot, this should get a lot of people to at least test the games.
Furthermore, you can see that we have a lot of other exciting things happening very soon, if you´ve read the news.

I thought the restriction was only for the bap market. I usually earn less than 1c a day for one ref. I usually buy 1 or 2 rps everyday, now i can't. 
I have $0.00425 I want to buy 3 rps at 0.0014 = 0.0042 and I can't now :S

There should be a better solution.

The restriction IS ONLY for the BAP market. It doesn't apply cash RPs.

Getting this error when trying to make an order of less than 5 RPs (bulk order). Is this intended or a bug?

You have to buy a minimum of 5 RPs in bulk transaction

@dguy Just wanted to give you a quick reply (really can't take time right now for an essay that would be needed to address the topic of extending the game properly grin):

First thing to consider when extending the game depth, is to ensure it fits the game. Taking something from a full-fledged game out there, might not be appropriate at all for this game. (Not saying your suggestion isn't, but just on a general note) It might not add anything to it, but just basically create a game-within a game, that might have no sense to the rest of the game.

When increasing game depth it is ideal for it to connect well with the game, and not just for the sake of extension. Furthermore, the deeper the game is, the more likely majority of users will never get to it. While that depth might increase retention/playtime & potential spending /revenue of really attached users, it will almost likely do NOTHING for 95%+ of the users who never get to that point. The deepest part of the game is usually NOT the selling point of the game for the majority of users, usually the main game's loop is what is most important to all users.

So oftentimes, it is much better to focus time on improving the main game loop, retention and monetization of those not-so-long-term attached players, as ultimately that not only increases monetization of those users, but the better the main game loop is, the more likely they are to also in the end convert to those really deep players.

When debating bigger late game updates there's also the question of "Is it worth it?". Usually the bigger the game gets the more time (Specs & dev) each new function takes, and the more deep it is, the smaller it's effect will likely be on the overall monetization. Whereas using the same time on either of:
a) expanding the game to new platforms
b) Improving main loop & early monetization
c) Creating a different version of the game, that we can basically republish to "all users and platforms" we've already done with the main game in a short time
d) even creating a new game altogether

can in a lot of cases be a much more sensible plan.

After Kong we will be looking into and preparing a more exact plan of where to head next with the game, and what of the above to focus on. As then we'll have a lot more data of what the best path ahead would be.

Thanks for the reply SS. I trust in your plans for the game. I just had the idea so I thought I'd offer it up. No harm was done. It is better to get an idea and see if you guys can use it than to not offer it up. You never know if it is something that can open up a new horizon. So don't be troubled by shooting down my ideas. They are random and part of the brainstorming process. I have thick skin in that regard cool smirk
