Previously there was a function installed that only gave you 5minutes to view an ad, after first clicking on it... But this proved confusing + problematic in the event of glitches; and now you can click on the ad however many times you like. And so long as you hit confirm within 18hours - you'll get paid. Also we've removed the "Clicked" tab on the Paid Ads page; now you just have three: Available / Recycled / Completed. Simpler; and less confusing; no need to move an available campaign to "Clicked" prior to you clicking confirm. That just makes it look like it's gone. When it hasn't. Today we're working on the paid ad filter upgrade. Where for $10, you can set a minimum value of ads that'll be delivered to your account. Thereby stopping tiny ads from eroding your BAP, if you have no intention of clicking on them. Only abandoned PV earnings balances. I think if/when your PV account goes to inactive status... your PV balance should be taxed at a rate of up to $0.005 per day until your balance is zerod. As already, there are ~1200 accounts with money in their PV balances. And hundreds of those have less than $0.02 And I imagine a lot of users will click a few ads, then forget about PV... As that happens a lot in the world of PTC... And then we'll have thousands of inactive accounts with micro-cents in the balances. And that adds up to a lot of money that's sitting around doing nothing. I think better to either tax that money, and put it as a revenue on the MTV portfolio, to make our fast track queue go around... Or use that money to be re-issued as ads for active users. And I think $0.005 per day is a good amount. As even if you're on vacation for a month, and you forget to transfer your balance to one of your MTV balances for safe keeping. That only costs you 15cents for the entire month... The aim here is not to steal your money; it's to mop up abandoned accounts -- as individually the values are worthless. But over tens of thousands of accounts; it's a lot of money. That could be put to good use. eg. 10,000 accounts with $0.05 average in them. Is $500... That could be re-issued as 1000 * $0.50 ads. Or completely repay a few investors in our fast track queue. 100,000 accounts... $5000! 1,000,000 accounts... $50,000! Over a year or two, that's potentially a huge amount of money. Half of what we currently require for this product to be deemed a financial success! Just from taxing a few cents from abandoned accounts. We're not in a specific rush or anything; I just want a mechanism to empty out dormant accounts... If it takes a year; so be it! I don't think there's an issue with https. And the re-using ad campaign info is in the construction queue; but a lower priority than the Paid Ad Filter that we're building now... I imagine it'll be ready sometime this weekend / next week. -- I'm also chasing up Rayner about installing our new games index page. It's only a small upgrade, but it's a huge improvement to the presentation. And right after that, we'll try to install Slosumos slot machine. As that's pretty cool, and might be popular... Are you putting them in the same category? wouldn't it be fair to place some requirements in order to be eligible for "inactivity tax" like if you have more than $1in your pv account you won't have to pay inactivity tax. So no deposit or anything is required. And if referrers transfer their earnings out of the pv balance and to any other balance it'll be safeguarded. But yes that scenario is slightly negatively affected by such an implementation. We'll have a think about it before installation.
