This will be a good chance to see how many people use the market to maintain BAP levels. We should be monitoring bulk ad sales during this time

Actually you guys are wrong, as far as I know. You can't answer because the thread is older than 7 days, and in the news section you're unable to post messages after it becomes 7 days old to avoid bumping topics forever wink

I thought that only applied if there was no new post for 7 days, in that specific thread.

Otherwise, for instance, how would we be able to be posting and bumping this one?

BTW, what are the "rules" to the threads (some stickies and most languages) i.e the ones created b4 the programmer update, that allow replies to be made, but not bump?

I'm not sure but I think the 7 day rule only applies to news topics. For example monitor topics obviously don't have this rule, nor does this one. Date of the last post doesn't matter in any case.

Warning! Selling your royalty positions in tiny bundles to avoid fees on the BAP market will result in a penalization of 10,000 BAP!

Question what does tiny mean what exact is a tiny amount?

People selling like 2 RP's at a time to avoid fees. If you only put one bid, no problem ofc. But if you place 100's of those small bids... That'll get you fined because you're evading taxes... (Look, it's not only illegal in your country! grin )

Is it too much of programming time to make a feature for the RP market to automatically join all the small bids into one larger? Of course if there wasn't any other in the middle

For example, if I wanted to sell like this...:

Seller              RP Available      Price (BAP)
jpla1991           1                    10
jpla1991           1                    10
jpla1991           1                    10
jpla1991           1                    10
jpla1991           1                    10
portfolio           1,000              10
MarcdeKoning    6,946              10
jpla1991           1                    10
jpla1991           1                    10
jpla1991           1                    10
jpla1991           1                    10

Then it would automatically become like this:

Seller              RP Available      Price (BAP)
jpla1991           5                    10
portfolio           1,000              10
MarcdeKoning    6,946              10
jpla1991           4                    10

@jpla
This is a personal opinion. I think that making programmers code something like that would be a waste of resources now, since they are all working on some other important things.

People already know they can´t do micro bids(we are talking about hundreds of 2rps orders, not 3 or 4 orders of 200-500rps each), and a warning has already been added on the selling page.

And also, doing such a function could be abused as well, suppose I decide to put a 1 RP buy bid at 0.003 and rps start to drop, and im like 5th in the line and there are like 1000 people with orders at 0.003 as well. If I decide to add a 100kRPs order to buy at 0.003 should that order be placed with my other RP and screw all the people behind me, or at the end of the line and respect the others who came before me?

That is my opinion, but your suggestion can be taken in consideration as well. Thanks for it

I agree, now with the fine (10KBAP aka ~$4), we can theoretically recoup any cost it takes for Marc/Someone to manually cancel all those bids (which they did program something to make that easier, IIRC).

Your issue example of buy bids at $0.003 with thousands btwn your first 1 and your new bid of 100K, is not what they want to be programmed. Only bids that have the same user with no one btwn get merged. For instance.

Before:

1 A
17 A
133 A
1 B
1 B
7000 B
1 A
10000 C
47000 B

After (but automatically, so you'd never notice unless paying real close attention)
151 A
7002 B
1 A
10000 C
47000 B

Still, unless this program has many uses, it really isn't needed.

I don't know what's behind the market, but if the market is stored in mysql a small group by could do the thing:

GROUP BY market.username and market.price

I developed a similar share market like MTV just for fun, and that's the idea basically.

Which reminds me, if anything, I'd rather have the "Grouped by Price" be in existence.

I have no strong need to know who's selling/buying, but doing what Lux does (if we ask) would be quite useful and then we wouldn't even notice the hundreds of bids at 1. OFC, the fee avoidance is still an issue, but at least it's not combined annoyance.

I'm quite sure, that the program could let you expand/pick which view, thus you know where your bids are amongst those prices.

My bad I didn´t understand correctly what Jpla was meaning.
In that way it could totally work, but I still hold that this might not be the best moment due to all the focus being on MyMatrix and other improvements

Actually, who is selling is still an important bit of info that can be useful to traders sometimes. Because of that, I would not appreciate it getting lost in those changes you talk about.

YES, I know it's important. That's why I said an option to "switch views".

In any case, should not be programmer hours devoted, until transaction fees pick up to pay for it.

@felibaudino, thanks for your opinion, I also realize that the programmers have a lot on their plates at the moment, I just shared the thought in case if it would be something easy. I have no knowledge at all of coding, so sometimes I just pop this kind of ideas withouth knowing how much work will it take, but I always have in my mind that it may not be a priority.

@druth8x, thanks also for further explain the situation of grouping bids while other users are in the middle.

I think the name should be removed, it only helps to manipulate the market

I discovered and reported literally thousands of interconnected fake referrals just by observing "generic" or in any way suspicious usernames on the market and checking their connections in RPCP. Without usernames visible on the market it would be much more difficult to find those cheaters.

Just a precautionary move.

No worries.

This is part of a reply in the latest News Topic (if you need context):

"Regarding the ban of Future, this is not related, it's a safety measure which is applied to "portfolio" as well. (The timing of this might make you think otherwise)"
