Depositing 10,000$ and selling 500$ worth RP's at 0.0028 doesn't mean much for me, he's selling a 5% of what he deposited...
Even if he sells it, he would make a 20% out of 250.000 RP, meaning about 100$, a 1% of his deposit... He might have another plan, maybe putting huge roadblocks to force the market go down and then buying them cheap without letting the market going up? But there aren't much panic sellers like years ago when Jo, Mike, Colasander... used to play with the roadblocks...

The big fish playing "roadblocks" was Marc, just for your own notice. You guys probably forgot that the moment Marc became 'CEO'. I never put up roadblocks. Thanks.

@colasander I remember you put huge roadblocks for some minutes, then removed them and bought cheaper. I remember this clear because I benefited from your movements as well. And yeah, I know Marc used to put some Roadblocks, same as Brainy and others. I'm not blaming you, I would do the same now if I could benefit from it.
Even Jo being the CEO used to put 6 million RP's roadblocks and removing them 1 minute later, time enough to make people panic sell.

Yes, but the problem is that you see the bids of everyone. It has advantages, and you see it in BTC exchanges as well with the orderbooks. I'm a supporter of a market where you don't see howmany bids/offers there are for every price and you just see you can buy for a certain price. If there's not enough to buy, your offer becomes the highest bid... But in the end it doesn't matter that much I guess.

Good idea .. I forgot about that sneaky strategy. Now I have enough shares to affect the market. Maybe I ll be new road blocker.. next time I make a huge deposit,I might try that... but again. Being the only road blocker would not work very well. . I would need to form a team of 3 or 4 and collude together to bring the price down. Man I am not crazy about doing illegal trading method.. is this legal or what ? Would you allow this ? Marc /solsumo , if so I ll get a team started!

gugakip is right! we should have a market, where you can only buy and sell at a current price, and don't see the bids of others! that way the price would go up and down much more, i think! and no more bullying from the big fish anymore! that would be a free market then!

Oh gosh! How much i wish there was a small bidder, big bidder separation on the market...

Everytime they have a chance, big fish start thinking on colluding to shift the market to their advantage and make profits from us instead of with us. angry

That is my thought. I don't want to upset people even it's a free market. I do want the price to rise big time as well. If there is no rule then anyone can do it but I do not want to be the first to become big fish controlling the market. I want to see what Marc has to say. I will do it if Marc does it too otherwise I will refrain from it. Fair enough ! If the CEO can do it then it's fair for anyone !

Gizmo, Marc won't do it because when he joined as a CEO he said he couldn't sell his shares before 18 months or something like that

I'm able to sell all of my rp's, I've gone past the period I agreed upon.
But who would want to sell right now? Total waste to let go of my stake.

You have a good point. I don't want to accidently sell over 100 k or more if someone saw my roadblock as a huge buying opportunity. You never know if someone with huge fund will gobble it all up in a hurry. Ok I rather hold onto it ! I'm seeing a shift to a buyer market already . Marc. Are you hinting that we will be getting dividends soon ? Lol

Would someone please explain to me (and all the others who don't understand) how these roadblocks work?

How are 'the big fish' manipulating the market to make money from it?

Thanks smile

If they place a block for $0.003, everyone sees: I won't be able to sell for $0.003 anymore, since a (few) million RPs won't be sold fast and you can't sell as long as someone is before you. So everyone starts selling for $0.0029 and a little lower.
The one who put up the block, will then put a buy offer for $0.0028 for example, and everyone will be selling in his bids, since selling higher is almost impossible. It really stalls the market for days/weeks if they don't remove them.

Thanks brother, it's clearer now smile

This can be easily prevented from happening by putting a let's say 10% fee for removing one's bid.

Then people would thing twice before making bids and these kind of things would'n be happening because the fee would outweigh the profit.

I wrote 10% just from the top of my head, management could come up with the correct value.
