The coins are moving again. This is perfect timing for the launch of the new site but I think we also need to be cautious of how we handle the rally. If BTC pops and goes on a run and then reverses quickly after everyone has put cash in the new site it could cause us trouble. I'm sure you've thought of this Marc. I'm sort of glad that you had crypto troubles (not for the suffering but for the hard knock education) before because it will make you much wiser and more defensive this time around.I'd also suggest maybe converting some of the coins to cash when you get it so as not to be hurt by the volatility. Since we pay in dollars, that's where the majority of our income should be held. That also gives me an idea. How about a section of the new site that deals solely in crypto for buying, selling and earning on ads?

I have always dealt the best way I could with our crypto funds on MTV, but 2018 has been harsh.During 2017 I was able to keep illiquidity to a minimum by earning a little extra on cashouts. Right now our crypto holdings are very low, as btc has gone through a parabola. It should top between here and 7.4 and we don't want to risk it. We made a bit of money on the rise, but I didn't think we'd go much over 5.5, so I dumped most of the mtv funds around 5-5.5k. Still made a bit of profit, keeping illiquidity to a minimum, which is what counts.

Nowhere near breakeven vicura.Only btc went up, all alts just became bloodier. Also, noone expected btc to go over $6k, as $6k was the support of the market for the entirety of 2018.

Just a question, does it seem like coming back to breakeven?

We're gaining money surely. I am hoping we get an alt season right now. (Finally after 17 months of pure blood and 90-99% retracements)

So do you think the crypto fund might end up even giving profits?

There's not much selling of existing cryptos so far. That means that the hodl crowd is not selling and still holding on. So, I don't expect btc to drop to the $5000 level. It's still a good idea to buy. I buy and mine it on my laptop and old cell phones. Thank God for wi-fi.

I read an article on www.ccn.com about proposed total ban of crypto in India and I just can't believe this is happening. Just look at this: The bill proposes a 10-year prison sentence for persons who “mine, generate, hold, sell, transfer, dispose, issue or deal in cryptocurrencies, directly or indirectly.” That's awful news by itself, but then I noticed the word "indirectly" which could be extremelly dangerous. First thing that comes to my mind is that someone hacks your PC to use its computing power for mining. You don't have crypto, you don't know what's happening, but "indirectly" you're dealing with it. Does it also mean that just by reading articles about crypto world would be considered as indirectly dealing in cryptocurrencies? Maybe I'm overreacting, but this certainly doesn't look good, especially for the country which is famous for its IT experts.

The IMC (Interministerial Committee) sat on their mandate to formulate a regulatory framework for over an year without submitting a single proposal. Now that the supreme court issued them an ultimatum, they chose the easy way out, by proposing a complete ban. How Incompetent!
