I'd say $1500 at least. Could be much higher. The best part is it probably would not go down much if it does. So your upside is good and the downside is even better.

People are already talking the gold/BTC ratio. So once BTC starts getting associated with gold then the gold community will probably take more notice

I heard an interesting stat the other day. If you hold 10 bitcoins, you are already a BTC one percenter

10 BTC is 9500 dollars no joke you are a 1 percent if you have such a sum. Yearly minimal salary in France is 12k of dollars so for some people it is hard to gather 10 BTC

I dont believe this to be a correct statistic.Just think,in the ''end'' they will be like milions of bitcoins,although,i dont know how many there are now.

There'll be 21 million BTC if I remember correctly, but that will take a while before they're al mined (around the year 2100?).

It's not that hard to believe you're in the top 1% with 10BTC. That's like $9500, how many people have that lying around in BTC?

Not to forget there are a lot of users that earned some BTC with faucets as well, they are in the 100% of BTC users but only own a few satoshi...

I think there are 16 million mined. Something like that. I guess most of them are owned by the top 1% but I could be wrong. It was just something I read and I never asked the guy where he got his stats from

Right now, the whole amount of USD value is $15.5BIL?

That seems extremely low, esp when you'd think the Top 50% richest of the world, which is only 62 people, could easily diversify and buy that up as chump change. Also, the Top 1% of the whole world (7bil+) owns 99% of the wealth. So, if we don't account for the fact that the 62 people could be spend the rest of the 70mil could the avg investment of 15.5BIL/70mil = only $221...again chump change for the richest 70mil. It's not like the rich don't know about BitCoin.

Since it is so low, even if it was not able to be traded easily, or even lost, the richest make that kind of money in seconds/minutes at most.

Heck, even if I'm wrong by 3 0's, that is still not too much to be a worthy investment, for the richest, even if they end up losing it all. For instance, they easily spend that on US Elections, each.

Did anyone follow my train of thought and did I get anything wrong?

Yeah,theres like a huge amount of coins in Nakamoto's wallet,supposedly.
Btw Druth,the chinese already have the most bitcoins in the world,so if they would not want to sell (hypothetically) i can not see how anyone could buy it all.

That was the same issue with the gold market too. It is a small market in relative financial terms but the rich don't seem to want to corner it even though they could create a mania in the price if they chose to.

Yes, it is going crazy. In China right now the $50,000 currency limit has just reset. The Chinese are allowed to take $50K out of the country every year and that has just reset. They re the biggest players in the BTC market so we could be in for an interesting month. I also found this today. It is already way out of date but it shows where BTC is relative to other markets. And I stand corrected. It might be a bit more difficult to get to BTC $50K

But think of this. The BTC market (mined and unmined) just went up $16 billion in about two year's time

It's a volatile currency but the least volatile of all the crypto currencies, I think there's a good chance that the BTC price will go up this year as well.

I meant about investing, like here or in another sites.

If i have 0.1 btc > $100 > invest for months and cashout to btc (suppose I get $120), but if the BTC price went up in this time, I will get less btc than I had before (about the same amount of money if I just had left the btc on the Wallet).

For example, if someone invested in the marketing campaign through BTC and will cashout it to BTC later. If by the end of 2017 he "just" receive 130% and the Bitcoin hits $1200+, he would have made more money keeping their BTC than investing because BTC went almost 50% up.
